Halo 5 more COD than Halo

Halo 1: Equal starts, low aim assist, quick base movement speed, no sprint, low/middle average kill times, middle amount of trick jumps, some skillful glitches, instant zoom, weapons on map, almost none animations

Halo 2: Equal starts, high aim assist, quick base movement speed, no sprint, low/middle average kill times, middle amount of trick jumps, lots of skillful glitches, instant zoom, weapons on map, almost none animations

Halo 3: Equal starts, low aim assist, normal base movement speed, no sprint, low average kill times, lots of trick jumps, a few skillful glitches, instant zoom, weapons on map, almost none animations

Halo 4: Loadouts, high aim assist, slow base movement speed, sprint, normal average kill times, barrely no trick jumps, no skillful glitches, instant zoom, kill streak weapons with random spawning weapons, almost none animations

Halo 5: Equal starts, high aim assist, slow base movement speed, sprint, fastest average kill times, no trick jumps, no skillful glitches, ADS, weapons on map, lots of animations

COD: Loadouts, high aim assist, slow base movement speed, sprint, fastest average kill times, no trick jumps, no skillful glitches, ADS, no weapons on map, killstreaks, lots of animations

Even though Halo 5 feels more CODish it plays a lot better than Halo 4.

The topping on the cake for Halo 5 would be to: Remove sprint from Halo 5, up the movement speed to 120% and the game would feel great, and a lot more Halo.

Halo 5: Equal starts, high aim assist, quick base movement speed, no sprint, low/middle average kill times, no trick jumps, no skillful glitches, ADS, weapons on map, lots of animations

Sprint is bad for halo alwas has been always will be
I completely agree with buffing movement speed to 120% and removing sprint, keep thruster pack is we must but sprint needs to go

I agree. We should keep all the other abilities, except maybe Shoulder charge. That thing is useless.

You act like glitches are a good thing

I think he means the BxR and Doubleshot which were good things.

That’s what I meant. Whether or not that’s a good thing is up to you, I am just putting out their similarities.

Remove Sprint and increase movement speed by 120%…sry that just sounds dumb, and would probably look really dumb too. I think I made a forge game like that.

Halo 5 sprint is really well done, its not perfect and needs some tweeking but the fact that using it still invokes gambling with your life makes its just fine with me.

Sprint is here to stay, the only thing they should get rid of is kill cam and shoulder charge.

Kill cam ruins stealth for snipers and it ruins the fun of t bagging, and shoulder charge seem to ruin melee in general.

It sounds dumb to you? So you have never played any FPS pre-2007 I assume.

It’s more balanced, increases the skill gap, and makes the game more Halo.

Play without sprint? Ain’t nobody got time for that.

> Play without sprint? Ain’t nobody got time for that.

Ain’t nobody got time for that? Don’t you see that the game will move at the same pace except being more balanced? The pace will actually be faster. THE only reason it’s in is to make the experience less jarring for COD, titanfall, and other generic FPS players by having sprint there and lowering the base movement speed.

Sprint works better in those games because of the kill times.

I don’t buy this whole “Sprint exists for COD players” thing - believe it or not, COD/titanfall players are able to adapt to other games as well. I think Sprint was added because 343 (and a lot of the players) thought it was a great feature.

Sprint is in because players expect to sprint in today’s era of gaming. Nobody is saying it won’t work without sprint. It would.

But sprint is in, and they are doing well at balancing it this time.

Edit: I also like how you conveniently only mentioned the similarities. COD is mostly known for loadouts, perks, and kill streaks. Halo 5 (beta) has none of those things. Also, Halo’s average kill times are definitely NOT instantaneous, unlike COD…

Sorry bubba but h5 has the lowest aim assist in the series short of halo CE. Plus if you want to talk about old halo skilled play, halo 5 is the only game short of halo CE where you can use the physics of the game to frag a power weapon to you if you are skilled enough.

So basically the solution is to make it sprint automatically, but still allow you to fire while moving? What if you could shoot while sprinting (but with decreased accuracy maybe)? Would that help?

No, Halo 5 has bullet magnetism like no other Halo game. Even though you clearly don’t hit the opponent, don’t worry, you’ll still get the hit.

Which is completely different to aim assist…

No skill jumps? Nahh you just lack creativity

They wouldn’t increase move speed by 120% they want to increase it to 120%.
Which is a welcome idea, the game just feels too slow and floaty, and having to use sprint to get around is just tedious IMO.

It helps assissting your aim, no? The sticky aim is not as much as Halo 4 or Halo 2, no.

Skill jumps. Jumps that actually require skill - They don’t exist in Halo 5.

If you haven't practiced these for a long time, you won't be able to do 1/4 of them.

You have MCC, go ahead and do Halo 3 Guardian Gold 1 - Gold 2, and then come again and tell me it can be compared to Halo 5.
