Considering the depth of the marketing and story leading up to Halo 5, it seems that the game may be the deepest Halo experience yet. So, will the game stand shoulder to shoulder with the upcoming blockbusters, or possibly stand higher? I think the split up campaign has potential to surprise critics and fans alike.

I imagine the split campaign will be exactly like halo 2 and be controversial for awhile until later being decidedly approved if Lockes character shines as the arbiter since has.

Yeah, and I have super high hopes. I’m constantly imagining what the E3 demo will be like. Locke in the Sangheili city? Chief in the desert? Extreme action? Serene exploration?

I have a weird idea 343 is taking ideas from mgs 5: Political unrest, are heroes really heroes, possible open world aspects/open level design, darkest entry in the series, the past of our protagonist, clones, and who knows what else. Probably not, but I like the parallels and am looking forward to both games more than any others unless e3 suprises me.
Probably over 90. Even if it’s not great compared to other blockbusters it will probably review well.

I hope they do another live-action intro like they did with the Halo 4 demo.

yeah, that’d be awesome.
Id say 92% thats what id give it.
It should be 90+ again.
The meta rankings are just not credible, there is just way to much bias. Especially when you gave reviews coming from places like (Playstation Gamer). And don’t get me started on the user reviews, it’s just a clusterduck of fan boys either rating a game 100 or 0.
That site would be better off just limiting the calculated reviews to websites like IGN, Gamestop, Gameinformer, etc.

I agree wholeheartedly.
I don’t think Halo 5 will score under 85% at least, but like you’ve said; there are the fanboys, haters and trolls.
Metascore is not reliable as it has to wide a selection of reviews. I remember reading some off the reviews for GoTG, a lot of the people who wrote the low score reviews obviously hadn’t even watched the movie and were just writing bad reviews to bring the score down.
It is way, way, way too early to even begin discussing this. We have seen no gameplay at all, so lets try to hold out on metascore reviews until E3.

Well, we have an Idea of the graphics, artstyle, sound fx, and even some music clips online. Seems like a good start to me.
Darn. My score range isn’t listed.

Not really. Gameplay is a huge deciding factor, and we have none of that at all (for campaign). The story is still anyone’s guess. Not a lot to go on for a game review.

Well, we know what the gun-play is like, what the animations are like, the movement, etc. It’s not that hard to see what we have seen and experienced as a *starting point.

That doesn’t make a game. Level design, cutscenes, QTEs?, AIs, landscape, weapons, etc. all remain to be seen. If we saw at least half of those, we could make an accurate assumption.

The fun part about predicting is that you don’t need to know everything at the start.
Considering that the more recent Halo games are getting ratings around 80%, I would say that Halo 5 would get somewhere in the 80%s, maybe in the 90%s.
