Halo 5 Metal Earth Guardian. What are they like?

I was just wondering what the metal earth models are like? I want to get the halo 5 special edition and the Guardian model looks interesting. I watched a couple videos and couldn’t find anything good. How hard are they to put together. (I know it probably varies from model to model but examples would be nice.)

Do you have to construct the construct (see what I did there)? I think it shouldn’t be too difficult, I’d imagine it doesn’t require modeling adhesives or modeling tools, it possibly is akin to 3D dinosaur modeling, to which, not much assembly required, however for better clarification I’d suggest looking at past metal earth models.

From a quick time lapse of a metal earth Millennium Falcon it doesn’t seem to require any tools. Another video showed a guy using pliers to bend the steel parts and take off extra bits from the sheet. Popping the parts out looks simple. I’m not too good with putting small parts together though so that would make things frustrating. I always mess up things I have to put together and end up taking it apart and restarting from the beginning where I messed up.

I built the Mantis and it wasn’t terrible just requires a lot of patients and time. I do recommend pliers or tweezers.

I have built a few, the Millenium Falcon and the AT-AT, some are more complicated than others, so I can’t say for sure what the Guardian would be like. But like Specter said, patients and time, and needle nose pliers, just follow the directions and you will be fine. I like them, and am considering running some string through to turn them into Christmas ornaments.

Okay, thanks for the info! I’m looking forward to trying to put this thing together. Doesn’t look as complicated as a star destroyer or the other star wars ones. The hardest part might be the spine/tail thing or the wings.

I Started building mine today, it looks cool, but can get really fiddly! You’ll definatly need a pair of small pliers just to bend the right bits and some wire cutter to get it off the frame. But apart from that it just slots together!

I want to build mine, but I need to get some more shelf space first…I have an F-16 metal figure similar to this, you will definitely want some needle nose pliers…probably two pairs.

Multiple pieces broke on mine trying to get them off the tabs that they hold on to. Contacted Metal Earth and they said they didn’t make it…

I found the hardest part to be making sure everything lined up right and that every. single. tab. was so perfectly placed and tight that the whole thing didn’t collapse when you pick it up.

Threw mine away half way through building it.
