So last weekend I finally decided to make an attempt at what seemed like an impossible task. This was, of course, the building of the Metal Earth Guardian statue. I had time, I had patience, I had needle nose pliers, I had cutters, and I had tweezers. Add some good lighting and you’ve got yourself the perfect conditions to build this. I spent about 4-5 hours on it and it paid off. I would add pictures but I don’t know how. Comment how to if you want to see it. The Guardian goes great with my collection of other Halo figures and I was satisfied with how Halo 5 turned out despite all the negative comments I’ve seen about it.

I genuinely feel sorry for you if you’re satisfied with Halo 5.
I have to agree, Halo 5 was the best game I have encountered so far, despite negative comments, the game had many good merits.

Halo 5 fits mine and other’s halo need. Our expectations were met and as such the game felt and feels great. So please do not feel sorry for people who are satisfied playing halo.

If anyone else decides to build it be careful of the peg- like pieces you have to bend to lock the pieces into place, If you use your fingers they’ll wreak havoc on your nails, even if you’re a guy.
You have more patience than I will ever have. I started to take one piece off of the sheet and thought, “Nope!”

That’s what I did as my long nose were not thin enough. I only use them for twisting the peg. All the rest was build with my precision fingers

I feel pity for you if you can’t find joy where others do and feel the need to patronize them for it.
I have the torso and wings built, and have since before Christmas… one day maybe I’ll finish it.
I’m not even going to try I know I would break a piece somehow

If you have that much built then you should be pretty close to finishing it. Great job if you don’t have any pieces broken.

I’m genuinely satisfied with Halo 5 and the direction it’s going. Before you say it, yes, I’ve been a Halo player for quite some time.

Just finished mine tonight. I have an AT-AT Metal Earth model as well that I got years ago with my Gamestop points and this one was by far MUCH harder to put together.

I hate to say it but there are people, myself included, that don’t like the way Halo 5 is going as a whole. I do like model kits as they are a stress release for me at times especially when I was at University doing animation so the build it yourself guardian wasn’t a problem for me…I was just expecting more from it than 2 very thin sheets that made a slightly fragile looking statue.
As for the game itself, yes it has good features, but issues I have with the Campaign story focus, Forge (mainly the file share issue that seriously needs to be addressed and pronto), lack of theatre mode functions and sharing content with others, and the hate I have for the Req system in terms of cosmetic customisation are all valid points which a lot of people do agree with. while yes the features are great, there’s no chill out vibe to the whole game it’s all fast paced combat with forge added to it. no relaxing socialisation that was present in previous instalments in the franchise. because of this I am satisfied with halo 5 but only at the 51% margin since there’s no community vibe when you log on and enter a game or load up forge.
There’s a sense of Isolation from other players I get from entering games and the pregame lobbies do need work on them as I still can’t tell who I’m playing with or against before a match and as stated before I really hope they include a better file share and more gametypes to boot, since everything is either Slayer, CTF or Dominion…no Infection, King of the Hill, Grifball (Yet according to the next update) or even assault. all gametypes famous throughout halo.
4-5 HOURS?! -Yoink- that, anyone want to buy a Metal Earth Guardian?
