Halo 5 Menu

So the Halo MCC menu frankly looks like -Yoink- in my honest opinion. Halo 4 tried to go with the horizontal/grid layout but that turned out like a -Yoink-. I want a return to Halo Reach’s UI style. Not only was it clean but also extremely responsive, I didn’t need to wait 2 seconds every time I wanted to change my armour customization like I do on the MCC. What I’m saying is, if Halo 5 doesn’t improve on Halo Reach’s UI, I’m going to be pissed off, a lot.

Prepare to be disappointed at your doctor’s office, because the UI is very… what is the word… edgy!

I doubt the MCC UI will be used in anything going forward, given what the MCC UI needed to accomplish. Seeing as there probably won’t be a Halo game that tries to integrate 4 or 5 games’ worth of features into one experience, it won’t be needed.

Reach did have an excellent UI. Everything was well proportioned and I loved the use of background concept art. Need to get the music right too.

Those leaked screens from a while ago looked very promising.

It’s weird, I generally don’t remember the UI screens of any halo game beyond the “Press start to play” screen.

I think the ‘2 seconds’ waiting time thing was more because of the multiple games having to use the same UI. The UI in the beta was pretty quick in comparison, and that was just a beta.

I felt the beta was dark but that is a beta. What I hope 343i doesn’t do is have your profiles look like pokemon cards like they did with Halo 4, it was a big design flaw seeing one guy’s “card” overlap everyone else’s. All I want is the Reach UI, the concept art looked fantastic in it, nor was I forced to press X to look at the roster.

It is even more responsive than Reach… Tap the menu button and then scroll down to the desired tier of setting/ customisation option. By the way, don’t judge how ‘responsive’ a menu is before even using it.

+1 To all of this. The Reach UI was spot on and the concept art was beaut. If 343 can do a similar job with great menu music then I will be very happy staying up all night playing the game and falling to sleep in the menu to the music haha

Reach’s UI was awesome.
The Lobby system was just about flawless, too.

I hope it is closer to Reach.
