I’ve been hearing a lot about the overabundance of medals in halo 5. While I do agree that medals should mean something, I also understand it’s nice being recognized for small achievements in game. So I was thinking they could separate the two. Maybe have a ribbons category and one for medals. That way you might have 50 ribbons in a game but your killtacular still shows in your medals separately. Just an Idea I was thinking might compromise between the two 
Love medals, but they are getting a little out of hand. Maybe just separate by SAYING “Kill” or “Sniper Kill” “Assist” etc. without actually getting a MEDAL and just stat track those. They need to keep the standard sprees/multikills & other major/cool medals but they do seem to be eliminating the excitement factor for gaining medals.
And to fit with yours, maybe like 10 Sniper kills gets you a sniper ribbon, 20 Kills gets you a Kill ribbon, etc. This way everything is rewarding, but medals remain exciting.

While 343 still has that bad habit of giving too much medals, the overall quality of them seems to be improved compared to 4’s medals. Stuff like the Combat Evolved and Snipultaneous medals are much better.

I don’t get that. A Hat Trick should be: Melee kill, weapon kill, and grenade kill in one life. That’s much more satisfying.
