leave the community alone! I, amongst other old farts, don’t prefer the gameplay of Halo 5 over the original trilogy. The drastic change is one of the main reasons for driving the majority of the original Halo community away, but some people love it, and we (the old farts) need to respect that. Most importantly, we have to stay as one community the best we can so that the franchise can grow. I am not inferring that the players who don’t play Halo 5 should go play it and get involved in the culture that exists since they don’t like it, but we should push 343 to develop a unique game with the old game mechanics (plenty of the novels would make a great campaign). If they made a Ghosts of Onyx game or something, and used old-school mechanics, they would be able to judge what sort of gameplay works best for the franchise and what the majority of the fans prefer.
Halo 6 will be like Halo 5, there is no doubt about that, and 343 will most likely see the same sort of disappointing (or even more so) sales. The MCC has a lame population, so for the veterans who prefer those games there isn’t a whole lot of fun to be had. (Don’t tell people to play reach because Reach doesn’t really follow the golden formula so many people praise.)
343, make an new unique game with the classic gameplay and beautiful graphics for the veterans, because I assure you, regardless of if we haven’t been playing the recent games, WE WILL GO BUY IT.
And for those who love Halo 5, keep enjoying it and enjoy Halo 6! In all of my previous threads regarding the wrong direction of this game, don’t think I am saying you’re wrong for liking it (you are though … just kidding 
)
