Halo 5 Matchmaking "works" now

I am from Singapore. I stopped playing Halo 5 some time in January. I recently started playing again and wanted to give some feedback.

Things I noticed:

  • high latency to dedicated servers - possible removal of region lock - matched with US playersWhat I think about this:

  • connection not perfect but playable and enjoyable - better than not being able to get matches - mostly getting matches quick(less than 1 minute)

Yeah after the small update, playlists dont have the high latency warning and it seems fine now

Hey there! You’re right, I didn’t notice that the warning has disappeared. Anyway, I appreciate the current state of multiplayer and I hope 343 continues to improve halo 5.

Here in Europe (Italy) region lock is up and running.
Finding games in peak hours is almost fine (some unable to match message but not so often).
Searching off peak (morning, late night or work hours) is a total nightmare: entire hours spent watching the screen and waiting for players obtaining nothing but timeout messages.
They could have freed the region lock there but here is still an awful reality…

PS. I cannot see an american player in my match lobby since early February.
