The Halo 5 matchmaking system is just awful for me. I don’t have many friends that still play this game so I have to solo search most of the time and I just get the most lopsided match ups almost every time. How does H5 not have a system where it matches parties vs other parties first? Thats all I get to play against is 4 man parties of onyx players who have complete map control and the most ridiculous spawn traps I have ever seen in Halo. I mean I just get double teamed or destroyed by nades off at least 80% of my spawns before even taking a few steps, and I’m not exaggerating. Also these are not parties of my rank I’m getting matched against. I get placed Platinum/low diamond and I always get thrown in with onyx 1800s or higher. I’ve even been put against champion players way too much. How can a plat/diamond 1 get matched against champion players on a nightly basis?
I feel like the system needs some tweaking so players who are playing solo or in only a party of 2 actually get fair matches, because it doesn’t seem to ever happen for me. Or at least make it so that parties of 4 get matched with other parties of 4 first. Not only is it not fair or fun for the players solo searching, but I’m sure these onyx players that I get matched with on my team aren’t too thrilled when they look at the post game stats and see that had a diamond 1 on their team.
And yes I have tired switching the search preference, but It don’t seem to change who I’m matched with. Only thing that happens when I change the preference is the search times slightly change, and the games I find on expanded tend to have a worse connection with more lag. Which makes sense, probably the only thing about the Halo 5 matchmaking system that makes sense to me…
Never go in arena alone. Add me if you want to run arena sometime i only go in arena with a team of 3 or 4.
Lol, If you live in Australia, you would see how annoying matchmaking is in here. We can’t even fine warzone games on balanced, only expanded so we vs Americans and Mexicans on horrible connection.

What used to happen is that in the pre game lobby you can see if they’re in a team and they’re skill. When going up against a full team of try hards you could back out and someone else could join in who wants the challenge. Instead of having a better system like that we get to look at the other players emblems and get wreaked.
