Just brainstorming potential play list lineup for launch day:
- Team slayer: traditional play list. Slayer pro as occasional voting option in third slot only
Infinity slayer: team regicide as occasional voting option in third slot only
Capture the Flag: traditional settings with “flagnum” and “lightning flag” as alternate voting options in third slot only
Team objective: focus on asymmetric game types and odd ball. One flag and assault.
Team snipes: Shotty/snipes and binary slayer as alternate voting options in third slot only
Team SWAT
Team Doubles
Lone Wolves: I think infinity would lend itself well to this, but i don’t have a clear idea since I don’t play it. Juggernaut and regicide as occasional third slot voting options
ALG: professional play ground
Action Sack: team based casual and “gimmick” settings
Rumble Pit: free for all casual and “gimmick” settings
Griffball
DLC: obviously not on launch day, but it seems inevitable
Rocket race: rocket race with obstacle tracks as occasional voting option in third slot only (assuming that driving physics mature enough to keep frustration down)
Forge playground: if forge community is robust enough, allow a leader of that community to select maps and gametypes to feature that either aren’t in the rotation in the other play lists or don’t lend themselves to the play lists.
Big Team Slayer: Infinity settings. Traditional settings as third voting slot option
Big Team Objective
Arena: a couple of ranked play lists to cater to the primary “core” game types. Ranked/social split could work if population rebounds.
I’m interested to see what people think of these options. Obviously people have their own pet interests, so t will be interesting to see which game types people feel like wouldn’t get adequate support in that scenario.
I’m sure I also left a few game types out all together (extraction and territories come to mind). How would you change this to get those in?
