I’m not saying its a bad weapon but I realized this it takes 4 shots to take out shields and 5 for health. The magnum and other UNSC that uses bullets are made to do more damage on flesh than shields while plasma does more damage on shields. Which means its it needs to be flipped, 5 for shields and 4 for health

Yes, technically you are correct but it’s about sandbox balance, not continuity. If it took 5 shots to take out shields, then an extra shot to kill it is now a six shot weapon. Those six shots would drop it’s usefulness down dramatically as a “utility” weapon, as ay other precision loadout weapon would outperform it in every scenario, instead of just at medium-long range.
Magnum is taking skill to get perfect kills with… Skill and internet speed Lol

It’s also a .50 caliber Magnum round, 5 is more than sensible.

EDIT: Breakout is modified so headshots do not insta-kill. For Magnum and DMR it’s 5 body shots. For BR it’s one burst head and 2 bursts body.

I’ve played Breakout, and even though there are no shields, I can tell you that I swear I’ve gotten headshots, yet they still survived.

I do agree with you both but coming to think of it. What type of bullet is it other than a magnum which is a type of bullet. Halo CE Magnum shoots bullets, Halo 2 shoots armor piercing as well as ODST. Halo and reach shoot weaker explosive bullets. The Halo 4 I don’t know what it shoots.
Actually if you get a headshot like every other halo player you will kill someone in 1 headshot once the shields are down.

I know that I’m just saying that if flipped it makes it a 6 shot kill.

yes I have 3 shot kill with headshot. 5 shot with shields and body shots.
