Halo 5 Machinima

Hi 343i. I love how you are recognising the forge as a large community and making some great improvements. Can I however request that you look at helping the machinima community. Now Im not saying that these need to be done I am just suggesting some ideas that might help the community even more.

  • Non drivable vehicles - (like trucks and pelicans and spirits, and different variants e.g.crashed pelican) - Drivable vehicles - (Please (I cannot stress enough) at least 1 drivable UNSC air vehicle (hornet/falcon) but a pelican would be supper awesome, and athers that some people modded in halo reach to get like a transport warthog) - REQ weapons - would be awesome if we could get access to all of the vehicle variants and weapon variants from REQs in forge. - More detailed forge blocks - love all of the new forge additions would be awesome if we could get some small high detailed items like computers - View Spartans - small but useful feature that wasn’t in halo MCC, like in reach(maybe 4 cant remember) but when hovering over someone’s player card in the lobby show their current Spartan armour and colour. (Really annoying in halo MCC when the game loaded and 1 guy had not got his armour correct) - Theatre Tools - a location tool for theatre would be awesome (e.g. x,y,z, and viewing angle values) this would be extremely useful for finding exact points in two different videos - Option to save videos - in MCC because there was no option to save a file you couldn’t play games after the shoot because the file would be removed from temporary videos so you had to take it there and the, if we could save a file to edit later we would be able to have a long burst of multi player before editing the videos.Anyway just a few ideas i feel would really improve the game for machinima. anyway if you are reading this your great 343i :slight_smile:

All these looks like features that could be added as an Content Update. Hopefully it does.

Machinima in Halo will never reach it’s full potential in my opinion without enemy models. I mean since it’s a Machinima you are essentially trying to create your own in-universe story…

Sooner or later, man… They will realize that pretty much everything in Campaign needs to make it’s way to Forge or the other way around.

Machinima in campaign alone sounds like a great tool.

All of this + AI and forge would be complete

I would love for a fully fleshed out theater system w/ editing tools.

Even as someone who doesn’t bother with Machinima; when I DO think about it… Reach had it all…

I truly feel for Machinima makers after the loss of Firefight and Campaign Theater because of all the assets they lost… It was like anything they couldn’t capture in a Customs/Multiplayer setting was handled by Campaign Theater or Firefight instead… They had practically infinite resources to pull from when making their film.

You wanted specific settings?
You wanted more Covenant models?
You wanted Space battles?
You wanted Noble team in your Machinima?

You got it.

As long as I can move forward and the weapon I have stays lowered until I make it otherwise I’ll be happy.
4 moving with weapons lowered was just awful to watch during theatre mode.
