Got a few of these today and I’m having major problems with them.
To get them to hold the guns I tried to slowly pull the fingers apart, however when I did that the whole hand just snapped off. It’s back on now but any heavy motion and it’s off again.
Next though was trying to get them to stand up on a flat surface to no avail, that’s when I realised that one leg is actually higher up the body than the other and it won’t move up.
With one of my Halo 4 ones, I found just giving the joints a good amount of movement to loosen them up helped out. Learning the centre of gravity for each figurine is key as well to get them to stand up, as they have pretty small feet. but when you get it right, you can pull off some sweet poses with them.

For all of the McFarlane Halo figures, I would recommend using either boiling water or microwaving a cup of water past boiling. Submerse the figure for like 30-60 seconds, and it should be rather soft and pliable. This will help you put weapons in hands, move stuck or strained joints, as well as reset plastic that has become warped or bent from the packaging. I’ve never had an issue with over-boiling/heating any of these figures, but since they do have heavy paint it is still a good thing to be cautious for (and to not overly flex a part while it is soft, as the paint may crack).
A warning for the Halo 5 figures though: hardly any of them can hold their weapons in any reasonable position (i.e. two-handed). Chief and Kelly are the best, and Locke is the absolute worst.
play arts one are to expensive I would recommend getting some of the sprukits ya they don’t have the most paint detail but you can paint them pretty easily. The level 3 master chief has a ton of articulation and it is also the same height as the play arts master chief and a better sculpt in my opinion. But like I said requires some extra paint.
