I was disappointed with it too. I thought the they would introduce the a new xbox one slim but they didnt.
If it was the XB1 Slim with a sleeker design and a better skin then i would have bought that. But also for the price i really do not think its worth the money. You can find 1TB 7200 rpm drives for less than 100 bucks so it should be like $399.99 instead of $499.99. I know your buying the game but since they are bundled in together i think it should just be cheaper. I would have bought it if it was a slim model and was cheaper.
Why buy a console for about 200 bucks more just because of a skin, skinned controller and a game (a digital game at that). The sunset overdrive bundle i bought my gf was only like 399.99 and thats a themed xbox, controller and game (also digital).
I know there is more that went into the halo 5 xbox since its not just a white skin but more detailed but its a paint job. I do not think one paint job should be more than another when its comes to the xbox. Just my opinion though. I really want to buy a slim h5 model though.

While I agree that the images are underwhelming, you need to see this in real life, it’s sick as hell. My Microsoft store has one on display with the controller and I was sincerely astonished by how cool it was.
The design is engraved and molded, it’s not just printed on. It looks super legit.

Oh its actually engraved into the xbox? Really? i didnt know that. Well that is a lot cooler than a normal skin.

Nope, ugly by default because it’s based on Locke and not Chief.

Personally I think it looks pretty awesome, can’t wait for mine to be dropped off in October. Definitely going to be picking up one of the Master Chief controllers though, for the collection

Because Locke is a character in Halo? I could say the same about the Halo 4 360. Its based on the Composer, but unless you know what that it is might as well be a jumble of lines.
I’m not a fan of it personally, and it would even match my desk furniture. But to each their own.
I think it’s kinda hot.
