So who here just got there Halo 5 console with all the goodies inside?
I just got mine and spent about 7 hours making the metal Guardian (No, I’m not joking) while I re downloaded a couple of games to the new console. While the guardian was slightly smaller that I though I managed to assemble it without glue and some modelling pliers, some of the pieces broke off either cause they where to weak or my clumsy giant hands (I’m 6’7" so big hands come with the height 
and big feet mind you I can’t buy shoes anywhere in Australia anymore) broke then. But after completing it I was very happy with myself.
If i could recommend any tips to anyone while building this awesome model it would be this:
- Use modeling cutters to remove the pieces from the metal holding sheet
- Read the instructions VERY carefully
- Read the numbers on the parts to make sure they match up, and on the parts without numbers make sure the picture is the same as the part
- Use metal modeling glue AFTER completing the section of the model you have made
- Use pliers to bend the part to the correct angle as hands are to big and not delicate enough for this process
- Do not play with it, it WILL break if you do
- Display on a even surface that does not move or in a glass windowed cabinet
- Build on a solid surface like a table
- Be patient, you cannot rush this model
- Cut out the pieces as you need them, not before
- Do not do this in dim light as you may not be able to read the part numbers
- MOST IMPORTANTLY Have fun!
The console it self is amazing, the colours and sounds are fantastic, the 1TB memory is a BIG plus as I have WAY to many games to install.
The bonus DLC armor is quite nice as I’ve always liked the Unicorn-like helmet and armor from previous Halo games. As well as the Spartan profile cards can be quite interesting, but I’ll let you figure out why, and the Orders page (sheet? whatever) gives a bit of incite to Lockes motivation before the release of Halo 5: Guardians. I also love that I can pre-load Halo 5 before it comes out so I am ready to go as soon as it launches.

Yo pal, I’ve got the Console also and many have said the REQ pack from the Locke controller should be in here somewhere. Have you gotten one? I mean, we can always unlock the resolute visor through REQ but still, just wondered if it’s there or not, I haven’t seen it.

No, I have not gotten one, nor did I know it was meant to come with one, I thought you only got one from buying the controllers separately but I could be mistaken.

Ah well, it’s not a big deal, they’re unlockable through REQ, it’s just many have said it was to come with it. At least I have Chiefs since I bought the controller. Have fun with your console, I am loving mine to death. Downloading Halo 5 right now, though not all of my REQs are appearing.

The Locke visor REQ does not come with the console, you have to buy the controller separately or unlocke (see what I did there?) it in-game via REQ packs.
I’m still not sure how I feel about the Guardian model, I like making and building things but that Guardian model just looks so fiddly. I guess I’ll judge it once I get hold of my copy.
