Anyone know if there is an actually person that done a legendary gameplay without dying or skipping anything and played each mission professionally without skulls and not hid behind a rock that played peekaboo with the enemies? Or even used the AI team commands professionally also. Because so far, I only see speed-runs and dumb legendary guides that use skulls to make it easier for them. I’d like to know if anyone has ever beaten the campaign in a fun way and not a boring or slow way.
I have my own tactics on beating Halo 5 on legendary. I just want to know if anyone has done the same because I can not find anyone else…
That’s kind of how you have to play Legendary. I never follow guides or anything, but you can’t just yolo run in and walk out at the other end unscathed. Use 0 skulls and learn the levels, enemy weaknesses and how to play. legendary is just time consuming.
You don’t need skulls or anything, but trying to run and gun on Legendary is just asking to get killed.
Just look at Halo 2. IF you don’t use cover you’re never getting past Outskirts.
Generally speaking, the main two ways of beating any halo game on legendary are to go slow and safe (aka hiding behind a rock as you put it) or to speed through each section as quickly as possible while fighting as few enemies as possible.
If you are thinking of making a guide, then go for it. Everyone does things slightly differently. More info is always appreciated.

The first run of Halo 5 I did was on Legendary. Honestly, as lore breaking as it is, I just used my teammates to let me know where enemies were located. Then I just picked them off one by one. I got the LCE, so I had it on the 27th in the morning. I finished the campaign on the 28th morning.
Skipping the 3 warden fight on legendary is how I kept my sanity. I might try it one day without cheating. The teammates get wiped out too quickly in this fight,
Finished solo and coop legendary and yes i did the breaking without cheating, and yes i died more times than i can count doing it…biggest thing to remember when fighting 3 wardens is always be moving, jumping and thrustering in anticipation of a 1 hit kill shot from warden; also accept the fact that your teammates will be dead 30 seconds into most engagements
the big thing is picking off the small “add” enemys first before tackling the big guys like knights, warden ext… and take your time, make sure that there isnt some sniper sitting in a corner you missed before sprinting willy nilly into open places.
As others have said, Legendary is either slow and steady or just speed run tactics, still trying to finish MCC on Legendary, I’ve used a good mix of both, speed run tricks on CE especially (still can’t do the Keyes Bump) and any level I can’t finish on 3
all I’ll say is…
I did a play through of Halo 5 on legendary and I didn’t die that much… Well besides at one spot(not the wardens). But if your looking specifically for a guide, Then I’m not sure. Most guides are for speed runs but you might find a written guide online.
Experience is the best guide, learn by doing.
I beat legendary in 12 hours over a 2 day span when it first released. Best advice is to have a precision weapon and another useful gun with a lot of ammo. Pick up power weapons and use them right when you find them and grab your gun back before you leave the room. The key to beating legendary is to have plenty of ammo. Using your squad mates as a distraction is useful too or you can have them stay behind and come out to heal you as long as your not in a high risk area.
I never said anything about a guide to run in and hope for the best. I meant is there anyone that actually makes a fun tactic on each mission that is still challenging at the same time? I said that the only thing I see in legendary walkthroughs are people that speed run, use skulls to make things easier, or just peek their head out a little and kill one guy and hide again and wait for recharge.
I wanted to know someone that can actually use the AI team efficiently, find tactical areas, use certain weapons at certain times, and not be needing to revive. That is what im talking about… there is one guy that does this at least. He did a guide for CE, 2, 3, 4, Reach and ODST on legendary with no skulls without dying. He even tries to make his tactics the most fun way possible too… and can even keep the marines alive on all games. He hasn’t done Halo 5 yet but hopefully he will. His name is…
Hiding and precision weapons is the easiest way to complete legendary campaign

And the most boring way. I want to know someone that can use a certain weapon each time and actually look like a spartan fifhting through odds. Not look like they are pinned down all the time…
I’m in the process of playing the campaign on legendary and the only skulls I’ve been using are purely for my entertainment: IWHBYD and Grunt birthday party. Also a plasma pistol and any other single shot weapon os a must for covenant levels.

I always found that tactic cheap and only neccecary on missions back in Reach.
But if you want to try a tactic for Halo 5 prometheans, use the boltshot on the soldiers. It takes 3 straight shots to knock off the armor and a headshot to finish them off. Its like a promethean version of the plasma pistol combo.

I do the same thing but I position my team differently. This is withoutndoing the achievment.

i diden’t fin a better way to show how to play agressive but smart without a achiment guide
I did solo legendary with 3 skulls (IWBYD, Cowbell and Grunt Birthday Party). It was EASY, way easier than expected and than any other halo. It helps with the AI partners only going down, and honestly now that every weapon is useful too. Trust me, the only REALLY hard part is the three wardens.
