I have just had an email from ebgames telling me that they cant swap the game download for a hard copy. Does anybody know how the swap is going to happen?

This. As far as I know, they’ve only confirmed that people can swap their codes for physical copies. I’m sure there will be some instructions on just exactly how to go about doing that in a few weeks.
I really am anxious about this tbh.
Hopefully they say something soon about this.
There is not long before the game is out, the LCE is meant to be delivered by or on 20th October with the Game being released on 27th and my Game order says i will not be able to play the game till its out on 27th so i do hope they provide details of to exchange soon before they say sorry they don’t have any more copies to give.
I am assuming a website will be setup where people would redeem their digital code fill out shipping information and a physical copy will be sent to them.
If this is the case, people who want to exchange their digital code for a physical copy may not be playing at launch as they would have used their code to redeem a physical copy.
I spoke with a gamestop employee and they said they wont do any type of digital code exchanges for a physical copies. I also read Gamestops policy and it says there are no exchanges or refunds for digital software.
I also checked into Wal-Marts, k-marts and Targets exchange policies and couldn’t find anything dealing with this type of situation so I highly doubt you will be able to do any type of exchanges with these retailers.
So if you really want a Physical copy your better off purchasing a physical copy and not having to worry about waiting another week just to play the game.
Lets see what happens, with Game it says that even though you get the digital code on 20th you will not be able to play the game until it’s release on 27th, this seems to be something Microsoft are doing and makes getting the game week early pointless since you cannot play it even the digital copy. I do hope the exchange process is announced soon otherwise i will be cancelling my order of the LCE and just get a normal version, i dont mind digital versions for arcade games but any game im paying £50 i want a disc. There is no justification to give a digital copy and still charge us the Disc price.
