Ever since the new content update I have suffered severe lag problems. No its not my internet either.
I am making this thread to see if anyone out there is having the same issue. With breakout I fail to even get in to the map at launch sometimes because lag throws me back. Ever since this new content update my games have went down the toilet. On day one I won over 30 games with only a few loses. Ever since this update has came out I have lost pretty much all my games because a kid apparently thruster packed like 5 times because of lag. Its almost impossible to win a game with randoms. And even more impossible to win a game with randoms and lag. My internet is Comcast. With 50+mbps down and 10+mbps up. And 343i I know it is a beta but for god sakes quit throwing me into matches with pro’s and semi pros. I win sometimes, but seriously I am only a Onyx.

I have 100mbps down and 50mbps up and since the update I’ve had bad lag in 85% of games, before the update 8/10 games were fine. 343 said the update improved how the connections to the dedicated servers worked. Seeing as how I’m in Australia I can only assume this meant “We are funneling all games into U.S severs because sometimes Americans get put into overseas servers and it makes them cry”. Rest of world, deal with it because we can’t be bothered to include a region select.
I feel bad for you man. They should seriously expand the servers. Hell I am in the US and probably get thrown into foreign servers. But seriously though with that kind of internet you shouldn’t be having that many issues.

The issue is not down to connection speed, it’s all to do with latency. You could have a 5mb up and down connection, with a ping response of 15ms to the server, then someone with 100mb down and 50mb up connection with a consistent ping of 128ms. The best connection on paper, is going to get the worst performance in the game due to the higher ping.
I think Halo has always been a problem for players outside of the US. For the final game, I seriously hope we see dedicated servers in Europe and Asia. It’s just not fair to be outshot. I’ve seen a fair few games where lag seems to be the issue, but honestly as a UK player, this is fair more responsive than any previous Halo game has been for me.
I’ll be honest, I’ve not experienced any lag, the odd spike here or there but not full on lag. I also have a fantastic connection, I guess that helps.
That is the thing though I am in the US and having these problems. I connect to servers almost 2 states away and maintain about 40ms ping. You would think there would be a good amount of servers for me to connect to in the midwest and east coast. It must be throwing me in matches with a server on the west coast or far north.

Correct, anywhere inside Australia (a pretty big country) my ping is <50ms, within my half of the country <15ms, but to California >200ms and to NYC >250ms to any Asian country its between 100-150ms. Judging by the lag I get sometimes, I think I’m using a server on the moon.
have to put dedicated by region and in the Titanfall servers, I’m Spanish and the halo May have much lag with Americans.
Before these server adjustments my kd was 2:1,and had won 18 of 20 matches.after the adjustments I can’t even outshoot players that have a negative kd.i’m in Atlantic Canada,wish I knew where I was connecting to.first the MCC now the the halo 5 beta,thought the dedicated servers were going to be a good thing?halo 4 on 360 runs much better.hope 343i hasn’t destroyed the only game I love!!

I have the same problem, I have lagged out a number of times playing warzone. I have good internet connection and I was not downloading anything either.
I have a feeling it is because someone in the game has terrible internet as well. Causing you to experience their lag.
I’ve been getting ruined with lag for over a week now. Most matches are completely unplayable and considering the fact that I mainly play swat, lag is a huge issue in that game type. -Yoink- annoying and I’ve lost many ranks do to this issue.
Things tonight or recently had been smoother but just got kicked from game with 30 secs left we were gonna win and then went in warzone and it was the most severe lag ive seen in my match. People kept getting put in and start cussing (slightly amusing) but like said I couldn’t stand a whole 20+ minutes of it so left. Hopefully its better later
