Oh why have the prophets betrayed me!
I’m going to start by saying I’ve never posted on a forum before. Halo has been by favourite game series for years. But in terms of the Xbox One Halo games, I feel like they aren’t fun. I could dive in about Master Chief Collection and how they never fixed it even to this day, yet is still for sale. But that is a whole other can of worms. I have had Halo 5 since release, like many on here. And for a long time I was having a ton of fun like I had with previous Halo instalments, BUT it feels like with every update the quality has degraded. I have to STILL wait ages to use Req services. Theater mode STILL is a broken mess. I feel like matchmaking is getting to be a clusterf*ck, I’m being matched either with people of skills way superior to mine, or way inferior so I’m either getting absolutely slaughtered or absolutely slaughtering my opponents and to me, I don’t know about anyone else but that’s just not fun. I win maybe 1 out of 10 arena games played for this reason and I’ve seen others say this. But that didn’t happen at launch for me. I’ve defended Halo passionately, but the lack of support for both Halo 5 and MCC is embarrassing, I would be embarrassed if I were Microsoft/343i. I’m loading into Warzone matches and I’m completely unable to use any of my reqs through the entire match so all I can use is Assault Rifle, Pistol or anything I find on the ground. That is not fair. It feels like other fellow Halo players are just giving up and going to other games as 343 industries refuse to polish the game and I don’t blame them. I really want to see Halo come back. Stronger than ever. It’s funny my friends are playing games like overwatch, I play it too but come back to Halo 5 and their words were that I cling to the Halo series loyally, when they jumped off the ship when it sank years ago. To me 343i have been going in the right direction, they just release their games unpolished. Likely due to time constraints put in place by Microsoft. I can’t go back to the 360 Halo games because those are 30fps, littered with hackers and just obsolete. Lately I’ve gone as far back and playing Halo Custom Edition on PC because fans actively play that game and support it with new content nearly 2 decades later. What are other peoples thoughts? I love Halo, but unless people are critical of it, it will never improve.
Finally, what ever happened to partying up? You have an amazing match with a team of players, unless you go into your recent players and hunt them all down and remember who’s who you can’t stay with some random people you had a great game with. Or what about Rocket Leagues Post Game Rematch challenge, add something like that to Halo, I’ve had some close competitive games before and would love options for rematch challenges.
