Has anyone had problems with this game crashing ? I’v never had problems with this before but this is my first time playing since the 4k update. It has crashed 3 times today . Game just freezes it doesn’t close or nothing any solutions ?
Does the freezing happen after you play a game or just randomly?

This has been an ongoing issue for a lot of people since the update. All I do is restart the game, and if it keeps happening then I do a soft reboot of my XB1. Worse case scenario I will hard reboot both my router and XB1.
It has been a while since I have seen a 343 employee post about this. They are aware it is happening, but I don’t think we’ll get any kind of update/fix to the game until after the HWC.
Edit: I am talking about the game freezing in the lobby after a game or while searching for a game.

There are only two potential solutions that don’t require you to restart your game.

After the game, immediately and continuously hold down on the dpad. If you can hear your game music you are not frozen. Press X to bring up your roster and it will unfreeze you if you are lucky enough (This method usually works best for the Fireteam Leader/ Game Host).

After the game, press X to bring up the roster. You may need to do this two or three times. If your game music is still playing, you will unfreeze eventually.
**If you stop hearing the game menu music at any time in the post game lobby, you are frozen and must restart the app entirely.
***343i are aware of the issue and are planning another fix for it. No E.T.A. for the fix, unfortunately.
It was both , yeah I noticed before the update if it froze and the music played it would fix itself . I never knew about the dpad but it didn’t fix last time . It also freezes ingame fair annoying as this only happened since the 4k update which also I cannot notice that difference if I’m honest , thanks for the help though will try that next time
dear 343 and the forums,
after rounds of both warzone firefight and arena (super fiesta, i frequent) my game freezes, plays the music for between 1-3 seconds and then crashes completely.
for 343 specifically: i’m tired of having to quit and reopen the game app. When will we see the problem END?
P.S.: Microsoft: BRING. BACK. BUNGIE. LESS PROBLEMS, BETTER FIXES!
At the last checkpoint of mission 2 my game crash instantly !

Mine keeps going to the black loading screen and says “disconnecting from Halo 5 lobby”

Please don’t revive old topics thanks
