Halo 5 just isn't working for me anymore

My 7.0KDA has gone down to a 5.5… I can’t figure it out but with the last couple of no explanation updates my ability to kill enemies has decreased substantially.

I have gotten maybe one or two perfect kills all week when before I received three or four each game. It’s so incredibly frustrating, it makes zero sense. Why must I put 3 or 4 headshot BR bursts into my target AFTER his shield has popped!?!?

I started off with a K/D like yours, up in the 7s, and then I started going 2-11 and 4-17 and just having these terrible matches and losing all the time, causing my K/D to drop all the way down to 4.4 and I nearly got kicked out of Onyx in Team Slayer when I started in Onyx Tier 2

I think they move the data centers with these patches. I had no lag before the last one, and now my nades take a second to come out. Perfect medals go bye bye.

Possibly it is because you are starting to play players around your own skill level, rather than those you can easily get a 7.0 KDA off of. In which case the only thing that is happening is the ranking system is starting to more accurately place people in the appropriate levels and you are starting to play against that area more often.

exactly. I’m not doing as well as I was either. Because I’m playing mostly semi-pros now.

That’s the funniest thing I’ve heard all day.

No, it just started putting me against people my own level, but been giving me teammates who I suspect have been a lamp, a potato, a doorknob, a dog, or toddlers, judging from how most are AFK, leave at the start, or are mind-bogglingly moronic. I’ve won maybe 5% of my games since the update that added Pegasus.

I think this is a contributing factor but it doesn’t explain why I have to place 3-4 bursts on someone’s head to get a kill after their shield has popped.

I started off with a 6-7 and now I’m at around a 3.
Haha, I think it’s just because I’m ranked a bit high now so I’m relaxing a bit. :stuck_out_tongue:

I actually think the hip-fire accuracy has increased with the most recent patch. (Complete speculation)

I’ve stop caring about me KDA, far too many games with mismatched teams, AFKs, and quitters-it’s the beta after all-your stats will not roll over anyways.

wasn’t working for me since the beginning , kept getting unbalanced teams EVERY game

What mode are you playing? I was having awful latency in Strongholds last night. When I switched over to Team Slayer everything seemed to go back to normal. I am a higher rank in Strongholda so the theory of matchmaking with high ranked players is possible but it doesn’t explain how I’m getting killed with 2 and 3 bursts from a BR. My guess is that you were on with lower player counts and so you were getting some janky connections.

Maybe they changed something with the aim assist? I don’t know but, I also feel as though something changed after that update.

Also, does the beta have dedicated servers or does someone have host?

I agree. When I first started the beta, I was (not to brag) pretty sweetly…but now, it’s kinda terrible
