Uh has anyone been experiencing a plethora of issues from Halo 5? Like sometimes it takes too long to start, other times the servers are just dead or better I somehow get lag on my 600 mbps internet. Its not my xbox since literally every game works perfectly but this one. Advice?

I’d take this to the Support section. But if anything, try the following options:

Lag doesn’t have to do with your dowload/upload speeds. Lag comes from the time it takes from data packets to travel between you and the Halo 5 servers. Things that could affect this include distance from a data center, network traffic/congestion, data routing, and packet loss.

I know but im getting 99% transfer rate with less than 1% packet loss
It’s 343 servers. The game crashed and sent to the home screen twice today. Every game was JIP. The dealing blow for me, was the screen went black right as the game was starting. Could hear the game going but no picture. Went to the home screen to make sure it wasn’t my tv, it was A-Okay. Had to quit the game. %#%#%#%%$#E%$

Dude I dont wanna sound like one of those salty fans but im pretty salty lmao. The servers are already pretty dead and it takes 4 or 5 minutes to FIND a game let alone find one that actually doesnt lag. Been like this for weeks now. I’d play MCC but even Jesus himself cant fix that game. Very, very frustrated right now.

All the insanity has been going on since the last update for me, with the exception of the black screen with the game still playing. Not being able to see anything makes it pretty challenging to get a kill…lol. 343 has a dedicated team working on the MCC makeover so hopefully the bugs will be at a minimum.

Oh -Yoink- really? I did not know that, hopefully they get it fixed. Although how do you guys feel about Helioskrill being put in the REQ system?

I was hardly fazed when the armor was added to the REQ pool since I didn’t own MCC initially, therefore I grinded out those Gold Packs to get it and its variants. But I will admit, it’s a slap across the face for those who got it in the first place.

Haha yeah I thought it was for sure. Me and my friend grinded an entire summer for that. Wouldve been easy if not for the jackal snipers that were olympic target shooters
I don’t really care for Helioskrill personally, but I agree, all the grinding to get it and then it comes in a req pack… Instant salty! They’ll probably do the same with Achilles down the line. 343 should keep earned armor exclusive.

Yeah they really should. I like it a lot personally but right now I’m wearing Centurion. I have max unlock on everything now lol so idk what other goals I have in this game. At this point its probably getting Achilles and getting Max Rank thats really all thats left for me to do

I went for Achilles from the get go. Took joining 2 different companies and over a year of playing everyday to get it. Pain 101… lol.

My man could you move us to a general discussion thread then? Seems like both our issues are solved. Would be very useful if you could move the thread. Also how did you get to OP when youre only rank 65 with like a 0.65 KD?
I think it’s best to just lock this thread seeing as it has served out its purpose now. If there isn’t an active / recent thread int he Halo 5 for General Discussion forums, you can start your own topic there.
As for me being a Community Moderator? My stats have no bearing on my ability to participate in discussions here or enforce the rules, nor would anyone else’s for that matter.
