Halo 5 is the only game I ever rage on. Why, guys?

I literally just uninstalled halo 5 because I was raging. After I committed the vile, disgusting act of deleting halo, I said to myself “wait… I have fun on this game. Why am I deleting it?” So after being deleted for about 8 seconds, I decided to reinstall it. It’s at 3%. My question to you is do you rage at halo at all? I’m going to sound like a sweaty forum monitor when I say this, but I take halo seriously. I’m not about esports AT ALL. But winning to me is what halo is all about. Communication with the team, putting a strategy together, and going through with it. That’s what I do. So when the plan starts falling through, I get upset. It’s weird because I like competitive games, but halo is the only one I experience frustration with. Do you guys experience frustration with halo 5?

I had a game on apex 7 which was just constant rubberbanding

I raged a lot more in Halo 3 than here.

But really, either due to me being older, or not being as tempermental over losing, I don’t rage nearly as much. Unless, of course, people on my team quit in a ranked match and leave me to rot.

Dealing with something that is out of your control is the worst feeling. Don’t blame people who got rid of the game due to bad connections.

Its because you like it and want to be the best at it!

It’s weird because the older I get with halo, the more frustrating it becomes. Halo 3 wasn’t rage worthy for me. The only game I truly get angry with is halo 5. It’s a shame because I honestly like halo 5. With the few complaints I have, like it’s disgusting, vile, vomit inducing motion tracker, I would totally recommend this game to anyone.

Truth!

i get angry at halo a lot but i dont take it that far lol.

-Lag (which is unfortunately frequent)
-Dumb -Yoinking!- teammates who are constantly sprinting into me, nading me, ramming me, or any other manner of knocking me around as I’m in the middle of a firefight.
-Ditto for those who block entrances or block my shots and get me killed.
-Dumb -Yoinking!- teammates who don’t know the first thing about map control.
-Just…dumb -Yoinking!- teammates in general.
-People who misuse their mics the entire match. Just…shut the -Yoink- up. No one wants to hear your terrible music, or your static, or the sound of your two year old in the background.
-General bull -Yoink-.

That’s why I play FFA! Unless I have a party, I struggle on team games.

All of the above, plus the RNG ‘progression’ system.

I rage at halo alot, but that’s why i love halo lol
its a love/hate relationship, it just wouldn’t be halo if something didn’t make me rage.

Because it’s competitive, and you believe in its competition (You want to be good).

I hardly rage on Halo 5. Destiny pvp is the one thing that makes me rage. Luckily haven’t touched that thing in months now.

Because more so than any previous Halo game, there are kills you suffer that you couldn’t prevent.

There is more without your control than ever before…

I rage at this game all the time because I have literally the WORST luck of all time

Things I deal with every match that make the game hardly be any fun:

  • Spawn kills
  • My team spawns across the map from me and I get like triple teamed and die
  • I spawn across the map from my team and the same thing happens again
  • Endless grenade spamming, which is probably the cause of like more than half my deaths in this game
  • People leaving matches, either team
  • Spawns, walks forward two steps, millions of grenades, dies
  • AR beats the SMG from like a foot away???
  • Clear as day headshots don’t count as headshots
  • Teammates throwing grenades at me while I’m fighting someone
  • Teammates shooting rockets at me while I’m fighting someone
  • Teammate shooting Fuel Rod blasts at me while I’m fighting someone
  • Somehow always getting shot by at least two people, no matter where I’m at on the map
  • Always being killed by the enemy who has that one weapon that will counter mine; example: I have Storm Rifle, they have sword
  • Clamber doesn’t work half the time
  • SPARTAN CHARGE
  • Ground pound
  • I will press a button, and nothing will happens. This happens EVERY SINGLE GAME; example: I need to switch weapons to shoot someone. I press Y, nothing happens
  • THE RAILGUN IS TOO ACCURATE

Most of the time, the game isn’t fun because I’m always being punished by something that I couldn’t help, so pretty much every one of my deaths is from something on that list (some of those things can be countered, but some just can’t). It’s not often someone actually bests me in a 1v1 fight

Sure I can get annoyed, but not to the point of ever uninstalling. After having children, nothing in a video game can ever (and I mean ever) be more frustrating, than children can be at times. Games are meant for fun and that’s what I do; I’m too old to truly get frustrated over a video game anymore, too many things in the real world for me and my family to worry about.
