LOL I get the sarcasm but the fanboys need to understand that Halo 3 was and still is the greatest Halo game of all time.
I’m going to destroy the campaign, probably check out Warzone… but then i’ll probably end up back on Destiny… I’m more of a PVE guy…

It is the best Halo multiplayer has been since Halo 3. But thematically and narrative-wise, the game is a complete mess and it trashes Halo 4’s wonderful story and direction for the series. Otherwise the campaign is just okay. The level design is a mixed bag with some parts being boring (Meridian) and some being great (Genesis). Despite the Warden being really repetitive to fight, I’m glad 343 could make the Prometheans fun to fight.
I’d say Halo 5 is a solid 7/10 or 8/10 game.

Oh yeah, I’d say it’s a lot better than Halo 4’s and Halo: Reach’s multiplayer. I just wish it didn’t -Yoink- on Halo 4’s story because that was one of the few outstanding things Halo 4 had going for it, in my opinion.

Going off the campaign alone, I’d say 7/10.

For me it’s quite the opposite. For campaign I’d say 3/10. And I’d give Multiplayer an 8/10

I agree completely, I don’t get how people can really enjoy this campaign. It not only disbands the Halo 4 campaign, but it fails to produce anything worthwhile. The characters are dull and unimportant, the story is convoluted and pointless. The gameplay suffers as a result of the above. And the twist at the end is stupid and doesn’t make me look forward to Halo 6 in any, other than the sparse hope I have that it will be decent.

It really wasn’t, they spent the entirey of Halo 2 building on the arbiters character. And then shafted him in Halo 3, Halo 3s story was kind of anticlimatic as well. It just seemed decent as far as the campaign goes. Not a bad way to end the trilogy…but not something worth a whole bunch of praise. The multiplayer was okay, but the AR was worthless and the BR wasn’t even very good at long range…the weapons sandbox was very weird in the earlier Halo games. In Halo 5 every weapon is viable and has a use…I can’t say the same about the past Halo games.
Oh look, more people came into this thread like many others and made a bullet list of all the things they dislike about the game. I used to love these forums but it’s turned into a seis pool of material and people.
Halo 3 was by far the best (9/10) campaign and the multiplayer was (8.5/10) as the Weapons weren’t the best and the ranking system rewarded repetition and not skill. I have yet to finish the Halo 5 campaign so I can’t comment but the Halo 5 multiplayer is a very good 9/10 or maybe even the best, just needs more/better maps (please do remakes from Halo 2 like ivory tower etc) and I’m not a fan of the funny 30fps animations of enemies at long range that look like…well animations really.
