Ok, maybe it isn’t! BUT the game is among the best games I have played! Halo 5 to me is climbing its way up there to be the best and I am sure that Halo 6 might actually end up being the best if 343i continues to listen to the fans. Halo CE PC is where i started, I used to be “Agent Spearhead” and I recall so many fun times on there. Then when Halo 2 came out, I made the gamertag FOTUS and it was lost forever as i couldnt import the gamertag to 360 due to regional issues so it became a dead account (Made in Japan) as well the name Toshinori Yano was on the account and no real name used so it coundnt be fixed by sending an ID in lol. I recently got the gamertag back in the 1 Million gamertags that were released and I couldnt tell you how happy I am about it. Little did I know that It would become an armor in Halo 4, and to be my favorite armor. So with that being said moving on… After Halo 2, i went local on Halo 3 with my best friend Robert and we used to play all the time in there and I was great at being a killing dummy and always got the killjoy on him, i am sad that you cant get that anymore in Halo 5 though… So after beating Halo 3, I moved onto Halo reach. I did not like the game that much for multiplayer at all, loved the maps though, and I hope to see swordbase again here in the near future! One thing I loved most about Reach was YOUR OWN SPARTAN! That was amazing and would be great to have it again in future Halo titles. So I stopped playing Halo… then… Halo 4 came out, I didnt know how I was going to like it or even if I would like it. I fell in love with it, the armor and the choices of armor was huge, so much more than the previous halo titles so it made me excited for them! after I unlocked ALL of the armor it became fun to switch the combinations up on everyone. I created a clan in Halo 4 called “FOTUS” after the armor and its really fun, a lot of people have joined and some have left. A lot of great memories come from halo 4 and more have come in with Halo 5. Now with Halo 5 i have found that Halo 5 the forge in the game is the best that i have seen so far. The arena aspect of the game is really great and brings back memories of the previous titles, and it seems that 343 is listening to all of the fans. So the best so far I would say no, but the potential is really there!!!
So it’s the best because of Forge and Arena. I’d say Forge is improved, would debate a bit on Arena with it’s narrow choices of playlists and certain maps, but okay. What about the story? I thought it was awful.
LOL on the story part, just my experience with halo! Yeah there is a HUGE lack of maps, but the forge is my fav part. The story behind the games was pretty good, they all tie in, i do wish the Halo 5 story was a bit longer though.
My list of favorite things in H5 from most to least:

Yeah, i loved all of the halos for the most part and I would agree with you on the list you made, probably the most accurate on here!
Halo 3 imo is the best cause it caters to both a casual players as well as competive.
Halo 5 is a good game IMO. Im still enjoying the maps after 4 days of arena playtime. Yes there are improvements that can be made but if you take it for what it is without getting into nostalgia of past Halo games it is a very solid game now (let’s forget about the launch for a second) 
This is imo had potential to be the best game I personally love the game play. Everyone has things that are lacking but the main things that are missing for me are 1. Maps were underwhelming compared to past halo. 2. Campaign was bad I know some people disagree but that is just my opinion, felt no connection to the plot couldn’t wait for it to be over. 3. Lastly not enough goals/ commendations / tasks to complete. The long grind of random unlocks is a lot less thrilling. More goals or even weekly challenges would have been cool. Now if it had all these things this would make it number one imo but missing these things made it drop to the middle of the pack for me.

This is a very good point! I agree with you on those aspects and i love the fact you were respectful about the post. Thank you! I hate the REQ system but I love the Armor! The commendations i agree with 100%
The gameplay is the best.
WIll have to agree about multiplayer. Halo 5 has the MP experience of the entire series or at least it is for me. Maps are pretty decent overall barring some exceptions (here’s looking at you Pegasus you damn trainwreck) but in comparison with Halo: Reach these are some damn amazing maps with well though out sightlines and focus points. Core gameplay systems are absolutely spot on. SP is pretty good too and has some amazing ground combat scenarios but 343 still have to work on their vehicle encounters. Probably one of the few folks who liked the story too.

I really liked the sory as well, but I wish it was longer LOL. I DONT WANT HALO TO END!!!

Yeah I think the req system is responsible for a lot of the problems in game. More so for so much resources being dedicated to creating as many as they could. I was not active during 343s early take over of halo but likely this is what the community asked for. Think there are better ways to allow more customization. Im fearful for future of halo in general because of this. The success of the req system seems pretty prevalent. Im shocked personally how much people are willing to pay for these items. That is my problem with the updates is they are mostly just adding more pointless items. I think they could have done something amazing with this game just think they made some bad decisions like releasing before it was complete. They knew it wasn’t complete and they would need to release free updates to entice people to stick around. Either way i hope they keep adding to keep the game going for as long as possible. I likely wont play another game for another year or so if they can keep me interested.

Yeah, the thing is, I dont think it was 343i who made the REQ system because if you notice there are other games doing the same thing now. EX Toomb Raider. I think it is Microsoft pushing for it.

I like Halo 5’s gameplay but the Campaign was pretty bad I thought. Plus I am not a fan of the REQ system and wouldn’t mind seeing it gone for Halo 6, but from the amount of people who buy req packs I doubt it’s going anywhere.
