Halo 5 is one of the best Halo titles of all time?

Pros:

  • Halo 5 sports the franchise’s most stable and intuitive ranking system, matches are consistently competitve; most of mine (in diamond) end up in less than a 5 point kill gap - The warzone experience is one of a kind and provides a nice respite from Arena - REQs are hard to get but easy enough to make a goal out of. While vehicle balance needs to be tweaked, the weapon play is excellent. - No overpowered armor abilities, sprint is balanced well with shield recharge speed, meaning more tactical play in higher level games - Armor customization is very vastCons:

  • Map variation is terrible, remixed maps are usually playable enough (except overgrowth) but they should just make them stand alone maps instead of remixes - No map veto-ing - NO INFECTION WHY THE -YOINK- HASNT THIS BEEN ADDED IM ABOUT TO EXPLODE - No (or very limited) file share - Glitches in forge map-makingConclusion:
While Halo 5 has a large amount of fixes and tweaks in front of it, the pros far outway the cons and provide for one of the most fun-to-play and unique Halo experiences of all time

You didn’t mention the campaign at all.

It’s not the best. Not even top 3. Not because of the gameplay, but because of what we got at launch, (which is halo 5 at its purist. Vanilla, if you will). Launch day, we had what like 6 playlists, even less game types, and a short campaign. That’s it. No forge, no splitscreen, etc etc. Halo 5, IMO, is one of the worst halo games to date and its not because of the gun play. The gun play is solid. It’s just everything else. And by everything else, I mean lack thereof. Even 4 months after release, this game is still a shell of what halo should be.

Nope

I love playing halo 5, great game mechanics, the content trickle is crazy slow and annoying. And they ruined btb with awful forge maps.

Forge maps are actually pretty good, campaign was 2 hours longer than Halo 4 (at least for me on heroic), enough playlists at launch because people need to play different playlists once in a while and they may be surprised to find they actually like it, instead of just playing one playlist like infection or grifball 24/7

Halo 5 is one of the worst Halo titles of all time.

“Armor customization is vast.”

Are you playing Halo Reach or something. All we can customize is head, body, visor. That’s three non color options. Halo 3 had 4 for crying out loud.

There are so many things wrong with this post:

  • this is possibly the worst ranking system we have ever had in a halo game. 1-50 was far superior
  • war zone in my opinoin is absolute garbage, also saying it is completely one of a kind is false. Halo reach had invasion which is fairly similar and doesn’t add micro transactions which is terrible for halo in the long term
  • armor customization is severely lacking compared to halo reach and even halo 3. Also this is personal preference but the art style is not to my liking at all. I think most of the armor and some maps are fugly

Oh man I hope that was a joke because I read that and I almost choked on my calzone.

But what about the inclusion of sprint giving us these awful awful maps?

Yes in my opinion its in the top 3 with reach and 4

(my opinion is about gameplay and campaign) :
I won’t say anything about multiplayer because i didn’t play it in Halo CE , 2 and 3 .

  1. Halo 2
  2. Halo CE
  3. Halo 5 Guardians
  4. Halo 3
  5. Halo 4
  6. Halo ODST
P.S : Halo 5 , for me , has the best gameplay of all series but the campaign is worst compared to the trilogy (it is better than Halo 4 and ODST although) .

I still have to play REACH.

The pros do not out way the cons because there is a ton more cons.

Definitely in the top 12

Halo 5’s core problem is simply lack of content. In the ridiculously saturated shooter market, having content to draw people back again and again is crucial.

It’s the exact same problem Titanfall had. Gameplay was amazing, and the devs did a great job on feedback for things like balancing and UI and so on (Halo 5 has had new control options added, we’re getting micro-improvements to things like Forge and the UI etc) but the lack of good content simply wasn’t enough to get the game where it needed to go. If memory serves, Titanfall only got three packs of three maps, and eventually a small PvE mode. There was just wasn’t enough variety in the maps and modes to keep players from getting bored and moving on.

Lol what? Halo 5 is a close second for being absolutely terrible like Halo 4.

There’s a reason for that…

Armor customization is vast? Lol play the older Halo 4 and Reach to see real vastness. Those dumb different skins of the same armor don’t count btw.

it actually is, in a certain way. Though, I view the concept as “Options” over Customization. (Options meaning that there’s more diverse offerings in what you can customize)

I mean, even if you disclude skin variants, it still has more. The options in Reach were fairly redundant in some way. Not to mention that they decided that going Tacticool would be better than practicality.

If you want to make the argument, Halo 4 had a decent amount. I’m guessing they had a reason for making it this way (and it probably has to do more with gameplay animations and such) over “They’re just a bunch of meanies and want to deny us options.”
