My halo 5 game keeps crashing. A few seconds into the game it just freezes and kicks me to the dashboard. Sometimes the video freezes but the audio keeps playing. Doesn’t matter the mode…online, campaign, spectator mode…I’ve tried to install the game and update several times. Deleted all the old data and reinstalled it but nothing changes. Tried a physical copy and a digital copy.anyone elee having this issue? Please help. It even crashes if I try to play the campaign offline.
I have played a few hours and have not experienced a crash myself. Since you already tried all the common solutions I would suggest you contact MS/343 via twitter. MS replies usually within 30 minutes and have always helped me on twitter.
Did you do a Hard Restart / Full Reboot / Xbox One Powercycle after you deleted the game?
i keep getting disconnected from Multiplayer after like 1/2 min in a game, but i did every solution i can think of. Its the servers that are screwed

I believe you commented on one of my posts, but yes I’m having the exact same problem. It doesn’t matter if it’s campaign, multi-player, digital, or physical. My game crashes about every 30 seconds.
I have a slightly different issue, once the game starts its fine but usually when I boot up it takes like 3 attempts to get halo to boot successfully.
I’m having the exact same problem. Uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times, same problems. Tried connecting directly to my router for the download with a wire in case wifi was somehow slowing it down and giving me a bad install. Sometimes I get maybe one game in and the next game I’ll spawn, the game will freeze but I’ll be able to hear what’s going for about 10-15 seconds, and then there’s horrible beeping noise like everything is trying to play at once or repeat.
Brand new Xbox One halo edition and I can’t even play it without it crashing after one game. This is ridiculous.

Just started playing Halo 5 the other night. Been working just fine until tonight. Had to download another update over 6gb. Started playing and got killed along with the rest of Blue team. As soon as we died the game dumped me back to the dashboard and will only load to the point I click on resume. The screen goes black and then dumps me back to the dashboard again. Anybody have any ideas what is happening or better yet how to fix. Disappointing results so far??

same here, I was playing on the breaking and on the fun final fight before the end of the level and when I died it booted me. I then tried to resume and automatically it booted me. I then loaded my last check point and that worked but if I died or tried to resume it boots me. Warzome and btb seem to be working for me without any issues, just the campaign ever since the update today.

Good! No offense but there’s ppl like myself who bought 2 or more copies of this game at launch and still have yet to get passed the main menu before crashing. MAYBE now they will actually get their stuff together and adress this issue instead of adding more junk.
Every game I’ve played since the update fails to record my session data. My rank hasn’t changed in 6 games.

I have been getting the same. Can’t continue any campaign. When I was able to get it to play it would crash if i died. I played slayer and it worked without any issues.
Keeps crashing in solo campaign since I installed the update. Wonder if they tested the update under the new dashboard.
I’m having the same problem with campaign. Kinda kills my motivation to finish up the mission specific achievements.
Happened to me in campaign. I mustered up the tolerance to force myself to try and finish another level, and imagine how pissed I was when my team wiped and the game instantly crashed.
Im just gonna plug my 360 back up and play Reach, 5’s busted my balls enough for one day…
Same. I keep trying to load the campaign, and as soon as the mission is supposed to start black screen right back to home.
The same, cant save my progress, at the end of the boot it crashes and returns me to Dashboard, never happened until today 6gb update
I’m having the same issue right now. Game has been working fine over the last couple of days. Once i got the 6gb update today, it crashes literally a minute into it. No matter what game mode i try. And considering i have the digital version it took forever to download, im not deleting it. So please 343 figure something out. I bought the H5 console…its literally the only game i have.
Halo 5 now crashing and won’t load the game after the update. looks like a very poor QA process, c’mon 343 sort this one out.

I’m having the exact same issue you’re having… it’s total BS… I have no idea how to fix it.
