Going back to TMCC, played a few Halo 2 Classic and Anniversary matches, and some Halo 4 BTB and one thing hit me… how much easier those games felt. The aiming was smoother and there wasn’t much chaos happening at the same time so its easier to focus on simple tasks.
Halo 5 plays great imo, but they really need to do something about the ridiculous amount of recoil of every weapon. Firing an AR feels like a LMG… even the sniper has great amounts of recoil. Plus there is something with the aiming i haven’t quite figured out yet, maybe the little amount of Aim Assist, i don’t know. Maybe its the vibration!
I still enjoy the game greatly, but i feel more relaxed playing regular older Halo’s than Halo 5. Anyone feel the same way?
Not sure about the recoil, haven’t experienced that with the AR but I like the uptempo speed, especially after having so much fun with Titanfall. I am absolutely dreadful at Halo 2A in TMCC b/c it’s so slow. Plus, never played it online when I had my 360 so am behind the learning curve. Have been able to pick up H5 beta and get 5-10 kills almost every other game.
I too feel it is hard to master. Just last night I had a game where I had 5 kills 11 assists and 10 deaths in Halo 5, but then went to MCC played a game and had 19 kills, 4 assists and 13 deaths. I have yet to have a good game in Halo 5.

It’s because the game has no skill gap. How hard is it to understand …

Halo 2 had barely any skill gap too. And halo 3 had no skill gap. The only halo game to have a true skill gap was halo CE.
I also find the game very hard, the very low aim assist has sceaw me over more times that I can count. I normally go positive in a lot of halo games and can carry my team usually with some to little efforted depending on the situation. When I played this game I have a harder time carrying my team (teammates are the worse wish my friends would get on more) and im going negative a lot more then usual. Most of the time I end up thrusting wrong or sprint the wrong way and end up getting killed by 2 to 3 people at the same time or mess up a shot. Its really easy to mess up the abilities and die. The spartan abilities to take some skill to master and with the low aim assist it increases the skill gap which is good and the way the game function, Teamwork leads to success, lone wolfing leads to failure.

Yeah no. Halo 2 and 3 were able to get the hang of in ironically, 2 or 3 games. CE had a good skill gap only because your character died so fast.
Halo 5 I’m Stil trying to figure out even after dozens of games.
If you want a real skill gap, play something like a Japanese mech game or a crazy fighter like mortal Kombat or MvC3

Halo 5 has a larger skill gap than 1-3, with possibly the lowest aim assist of them all
Halo CE is just a pistol fest which requires no skill at all to sit cross mapping with a handgun

Then you are not very good, and don’t understand how the game works.
Kind of? Aiming is much more difficult but that can be easily compensated by a little caution and getting into engagements with the first shot, aiming is also easier at longer ranges as you have to move your reticle alot less and considering how large the maps are because of sprint getting into close engagements doesn’t happen to often- when it does I just whip out an SMG and wreck my opponent.
And even if you do get into a bad situation its pretty easy to just sprint away especially combined with thruster, flanking is pretty easy as-well too considering how quick you can get to the other side of the map, got a triple kill with a sword by going directly behind the enemy team on Eden.
I haven’t played much of Halo 2 classic and I haven’t played the beta much either, but I find the Beta to be far easier than Halo 2.
In order of how much skill each Halo game takes from most skill to least skill, it goes:
Halo 5
Halo 3
Halo 2
Reach
Halo 4
Halo 5 has the least amount of aim assist in any Halo game.
This means that there is a huge skill gap. So yeah, it will be harder to master. I’ve mastered AR starts since my average k/D the first week was 4 or 5. BR starts are harder.
What? Halo 5 is easy imo. It’s cool because guns like assault rifle and smg are killer at close range so you could rush comfortably. Battle Rifle is great but I think it’s too easy to use. 115 kills with it and 106 headshots.
My stats so far:
9 wins in 11 games
204 kills
81 deaths
78 assists
