Halo 5 is great, and feels like half of a story..

I love this game. Even though the advertising was completely misleading, I think it’s only purpose was to distract us from the return of Cortana. I guess in a sense, it worked. I honestly wasn’t expecting her to be in the game… but did it really pay off? I mean, of course not. The conclusion wasn’t as fulfilling as that of Halo 4. Maybe that’s a good thing. You know the feeling of watching the first half of a “Walking Dead” season, and dread the fact that you have to wait another few months to watch the second half? That’s how this feels… Except we have to wait years to get the second half of this story. At the end of the day, I think that’s the real reason people are upset. But that doesn’t mean it was an awful story. I want to embrace the action sequences this game portrayed. I mean that opening cinematic was just plain gorgeous, and how bout that fight scene between Chief and Locke? That was -Yoink-!

I feel like we are going to see a lot of books and comics that will fill in the blanks very soon

So does that mean Del Rio was right about Cortana?

Exactly. Too many fanboys on this site would argue that Halo 5 is only the second game within the trilogy so it deserves to have half a story however look at other forms of media which have closure but end with a cliff hanger. Empire Strikes Back, LOTR Two Towers, Mass Effect 2, Back to the Future etc.

Yeah I felt much the same at the end of Halo 5 as I did at the end of Halo 2.
