Don’t mistake the meaning of the title. I have always loved playing Halo 5, but it hasn’t really been until Monitors Bounty that its actually become fun.
Put it this way, The Shawshank Redemption is an amazing film, but its not what you’d called fun. It’s harrowing and emotional. In that same sense Halo 5 was always (for me) a fantastic game to play. I love the intensity and the challenge, the fact that you can’t just sprint around hip firing like in every other shooter these days. But it was never really fun in the sense of having a laugh, not without extensive custom games which I don’t really do cos I don’t know a lot of people who play Halo.
I just want to thank 343i, sincerely, as I always missed the casual element of previous Halos despite how much I like playing 5. Now with team skirmish (a personal favourite of mine) and a rather substantial list of other social arena types, along with the custom game browser, its like Halo 5 has been given a whole new lease on life. I’ve played a lot more Halo these past 24 hours than I have in a long, long time and I’m thoroughly enjoying it. Heck, I even went solo into a game of Warzone and didn’t get spawn camped for probably the first time since the introduction of Achilles, much to my disbelief.
So again, thankyou 343i, I’m having a heck of a time in the new playlists, love the fact that I can FINALLY have a game of normal slayer that isn’t absurdly sweaty and play for ages without doing the same thing twice, all whilst having a crap tonne of fun.
I don’t know about you lot, but for me, HALO IS BACK BABY 
Edit: On further inspection it seems even more sweaty than ranked. Oh dear god. Give me one solo only playlist and this game is perfect
