Halo 5 is evolving Halo MP

I generally welcome the adjustments featured in the halo 5 beta, i find the pace fast exciting and very challenging at times, i personally feel if they kept the game play the same as previous halos (CE, 2, 3) it would fall more under the COD way of MP by just re skinning the game with the same old gameplay with updraded maps and graphics.

Personally i think sprint is fine … there are hindrances for using it to flee a fight (shield regen resets every time a sprint is used) run for your life and be killed in a single shot or tactically use it to outsmart opponents ?

ADS is good for long range but when do people really use this ALL the time like in COD. i always use the hip fire shooting like previous games. you are automatically de scoped when fired at … and if going into close range battles using ADS you will most certainly be owned.

Spartans are supposed to be these super soldiers which halo 5 is showing (speed, power) etc.

Map control is back. fighting for power weapons to dominate the enemy, 4v4 frantic MP.

i personally have been LOVING the beta,

i can understand some peoples frustrations but i dont see how any of them “KILL” Halo.

if you want the same old halo 343i have made the MCC (when it finally works) lol.

as much as i love all the previous Halo games and MP … Halo needs to evolve… and i think this could be the best MP of all time.

Just my thoughts anyway.

Thank you, someone else with a mature standpoint on these changes

I disagree. I’ve said it multiple times but I don’t see a reason to change what was successful and loved for over a decade. Especially when Halo Reach and Halo 4 have both failed one more than the other. They tried to introduce this “change” and look what happened.

Although I am enjoying the beta, it may not be what I love but it’s still a Halo game -Yoink!-!

Halo has to evolve. What is one of the number one insult we use against Call of Duty on these forums?

‘It’s repetitive’’

We often criticise Call of Duty for being the same game with updated graphics, a new grenade or two, and different maps, yet for some reason bringing back the exact same control scheme, equipment and speed as Halo 3 seems to be perfectly acceptable.

i have to say its the most fun and intense MP ive played in the past years. and thats a big statement ! but thats MY opinion

i agree what your saying, call of duty 4 was at the time one of the best MP games, they didnt change what was successful for years … i stopped buying the new ones after black ops. same game re skinned … got boring as hell… i DO NOT want halo to be like this.

Well I find it evolving in the wrong direction you know? I welcome change, but I resent any changes that would hurt the core gameplay. Much like a few of the major changes in halo 5

CoD’s repetitiveness comes from it being the most simplistic game of all time, then releasing it every year.

Halo 3 came out in 2007, and we’ve had two since. There’s actually enough time between Halos to justify making the same game again with better graphics and new maps.

Nope it would be boring it does not matter how long you wait you could wait 100 years, but if the game stays the same just with update graphics and some new maps, it still would not change the fact the game is the same. Therefore still boring as it is something already I have played before.

What has hurt the core gameplay ?

IMO i still play this beta just like any other halo (fire from the hip) i feel like the only difference is that it is at a much faster pace due to sprint and being able to climb up walls.

to me it still feels like halo but at a faster more intense pace making for explosive MP battles.

i can see why people are angry, but for me it still feels very halo. it will be interesting to see what they tweak for the final product due to beta feedback.
