Aye, I miss that co-op mode. 
Spartan ops has only been in Halo4 and firefight only in ODST so it’s not something that has always been in the Halo series. The game just came out so it might still be added in the future, however I wouldn’t hope too much.

Firefight was also in Reach. It was also one of the most popular additions to Halo. But 343i seems to really dislike it. They know it is popular but keep trying to do something else than what already works.
I feel the same way as well. Sometimes playing multiplayer can feel a bit stressing and you want a more relaxed gameplay experience. But playing campaign over and over again is not going be fun for long due to the similiar experience everytime. That’s why we’d need firefight (preferrably firefight and not spartan ops, it was horrible).
