I can only find games between 5pm to 10pm and when I do find matches I end up playing the same opponents 3-5 times in a row.
Because everyone leaves halo every new game, because they make them worse and worse each time, especially with the campaigns, halo 5’s campaigns was horrid, same with 4

- The servers are bad where you live.
The reason you stay with other players is because if you stay in the lobby, you stay with the players.

I’m from Finland which is a world leader in signal processing and telecommunication networks. My network is definitely not the issue, don’t know where the closest servers are though. I always back out of the lobby to find a new game as the search times can be quite long as is (especially outside of prime time).
For FFA I actually have to ask people on my friend list to look for a game at the same time as even in prime time there are no 6 people looking for FFA at the same time.
Played this weekend, could find players no problem.

Because there are more lower ranked players then Onyx/Champion.

Typical naive and ignorant forum response. Just because you don’t experience these issues doesn’t mean that they don’t exists and doesn’t mean that its the players broadband connection at fault. If you open your eyes, you will realise that these issues are genuine and are affecting thousands of ppl around the world.
Also matchmaking doesn’t always put you against the same players all of the time if you stay in lobby and continue onto the next game. This is just another example of how poor the matchmaking system is if it is unable to find a new set of players for your next game.

You know only like 0.5% of the population of ranked players are Onyx 1700 or above so you need to get on at peak times as matchmaking will try not to pair you with plats or diamonds. Thats why it is so long, its the same in any other ranking game. for example, league of legends has long search times at the top of ranked. Why? Because there are less players at those top ranks

Okay, that makes sense. 343 should offer social slayer other then Fiesta as a permanent playlist to be able to find atleast some games.

Thats because of region lock.
Had no problems finding matches within seconds, now since the update (dont know wich one it was) it takes 5-10 mins in off peak hours.
I live in switzerland and the player base in europe is really small.
The reason why halo playerbase dropped is not only the game itsself. Back in reach i had at least 12 friends from school or anything, but no only 1 who plays halo
Reason 1: No split screen… at least 8 friends dropped halo cuz of this
Reason 2: xbox one was way more expensive than PS4 at launch. PS was 450.- francs (~460$) and xbox 630.- francs (~640$). Xbox actually only sold well in the US
