You have probably seen my posts before, about ‘dedicated servers’ and the increasing lag. Well here is another to the list. My question, how many more are experiencing this NOW? Im sure the population on this issue is increasing.
I play all wired, on a PC monitor. My internet is as best it can be (i live in a small town), but 2 months ago the game played fine, with a higher population playing, more load on the ‘server’ i actually had LESS lag than i do now.
I LOVE Halo, but it is getting really hard to play. Tonight i had quit out of 2 ranked games, they were simply unplayable. I say this as i have NEVER quit out of a ranked game by choice. But its getting so bad for me now, i have to tap the sprint button about 5 times to sprint. 1/3rd of the time when i choose to pick up a weapon, nothing happens and i have to run back and select it again or spam the button to pick it up, while i stand there a sitting duck. OR another of my favorites, i pick up a new gun, run about 10 meters then it finally catches up and i bring it up the gun on my screen.
Now ive ALWAYS had shot registering issues, and playing at Onyx level, ive had to say good bye to winning and my KD. At lower levels, my skill can make up for the lag against average players (most of the time) but as you could guess, at higher levels you simply cant. I miss a shot, i die (its not me missing its the game registering my shot not hitting the head).
So off to Warzone, where ‘welcome to Australia’ none of the higher ranked Onyx players can find ranked games, so they all create super GOD teams, and Warzone ‘can’ be harder than Ranked playlist games. The irony is i actually have less lag in Warzone? With more people, bigger maps, more chaos?
How’s this make any sense? Is Warzone Dedicated Servers and ranked is still P2P? Cause that is the only explanation i can come up with. I ALWAYs play against people from Asia once it gets a bit later at night, even on weekends. Really, no Aussies are playing Slayer anymore? Is the population THAT screwed up?
What gives? I am SO frustrated about this, as you can see from my stats i play LOTS. But its getting to the point where im about to give up and play CoD instead. I hate it, but i never have the lag issues in CoD that i do with 343 and their ‘Halo’.
