Is anyone gonna get Halo 5 after the failed release of The Master Chief Collection?
I would hardly call it a failure. I am buying an XBONE just for the MCC after all, and okay COD Advanced Warfare too.
My only gripe about the MCC is the lack of transferring data over from HCEA, H3, and H4. I now have to go through all the cursing to get the skulls again rather than just having them openly available on the Halo Channel to activate. This is ten times as tedious now with a baby in the household.
Yes, despite the issues with the MCC. They are having a beta near a year before it’s launch. This should hopefully eliminate any MP issues. Plus, I’m more a coop / campaign guy so the current issues have not had a huge effect on me.
I’m probably getting it. Depends on the reviews it gets on release.

If I still own an Xbox One by then I might get it for the campaign. I bought this 400 dollar paperweight purely to play Halo 1-3 on live and I can’t do that without having the game crash, or 5-45 minute search times for P2P games when we were promised dedicated servers. Halo 5’s multi doesn’t interest me at all since it looks like it will continue the trend of making mid-large sized maps and calling them small. I like maps like Lockout, Midship, Guardian, Warlock, and Turf. The biggest map I can stand is The Pit, anything larger pretty much kills CQC.

I’ll be getting an xbox one next year, so i’ll probably get halo 5 and halo mcc too. So yeah, i think halo 5 looks good, but thats my opinion.

Nope. I swore off 343i’s butchering of Halo after Halo 4, that was their last chance to fix the mess they were making with the story and finally get things straight, but they’ve only continued to build off their mistakes and make them even worse and come up with brand new ones all the time. I haven’t gotten anything Halo related or even been really following anything that’s been going on since Halo 4 came out, and honestly, I don’t plan to come back…not as long as 343i keeps screwing up as bad as they have and butchering continuity and canon. At this point it feels like the only way to even fix anything would be to throw all of 343i’s garbage out and start over completely fresh again from the ending of Halo 3 
So nope, no Halo 5 or any other 343i-Halo for me.

I’ll definitely be getting it. Halo 4 re-ignited my faith in story telling, being tied in second place with CE for my favourite campaign - especially after how horrendous Halo 3 and Reach were, difficult to follow, and riddled with plot holes. If they can keep up what they were doing with Halo 4, albeit, with a little more exposition (on the level of Halo 2), then i think i’d be able to appreciate it very much.

Absolutely. Because of the way 343 is positioning and their focus. Mcc has been and continues to be rocky. But they’re focus is on competitive halo. And I’m stoked about it. Halo 5 is definitely in my buy list.
I’m getting it for sure, I don’t want to miss the next chapter of Chief story
