Remember long time ago when they said that Halo has now turned into A Saga instead of A triliogy? This is because they dont want to limit the story within 1 Halo game, so dont be suprsied why Halo 5 has the Title Guardians now to it this is because theirs going to be more than 1 Halo 5 game. Im preety sure its not going to be a Halo 2 A but rather Halo 5 with A different title then Halo 5: Guardians that will be part of the Halo 5 Saga.
This is a very smart idea because it allows 343 to keep improving Halo 5 multiplayer withing every year, where as we would have to wait like 3 years for Halo 6. I see this the same what Blizzard did with Starcraft 2 they made 3 different Starcraft 2 games with different titles while in each of the games they make multiplayer better, StarCraft 2: wings of liberty , StarCraft 2 Heart of the Swarm, and Starcraft 2: legacy of the void.
I remember hearing the term “episodic” thrown around a bit, and NOT referring to Spartan Ops. But what i figured they meant when changing it from a trilogy to a saga was that they didn’t want to force this story they wanted to tell into only 3 games. I figured Halo 4 would serve as a bridge from the first trilogy to the new 343 saga. And starting with Halo 5 they will all have a secondary title, like Guardians, and not necessarily multiple games under the “Halo 5” title.
I like Halo having tiles in the names. To me it feels more like the next chapter in a ever growing story.
It would be brilliant if they make a yearly addition to the Campaign such as SC’s 3 Campaigns for one game idea with yearly patches, nerfs, and tweaking! Imagine three campaigns for Halo 5, Guardians, MC, and Arby!
