So the other day my external hard drive crapped out on me and I lost all my installed games, no big deal as I just moved the games I had yet to compete or still wanted to play to my internal harddrive. Until I got to halo 5, which won’t let me download passed 5%. Remembering this was an issue when I first got the game I searched the Internet long and hard for a solution only to find that 343i hasn’t come up with one yet 6 MONTHS LATER. I have tried every possible solution that the community has come up with I can’t get it to install, so there goes $250 right down the drain. Screw me right?Honestly at this point I’m just disappointed, I have bought so much halo merchandise over the years and I just feel like this is kind of a spit in the face for the fans. If this is how every halo game from 343 is going to be then I’m not sure if I can continue supporting them, how could it possibly be 6 months after launch and there still be no fix for this issue?

First full power off your console by pressing the power button for 10 seconds and then disconnect 1 minute … then power the console and follow the next steps:
Go to Xbox dashboard. Go to system settings Go to network Go to advanced settings Go to alternate MAC address Clear Your Xbox will tell you It will restart.
Then go to Manual DNS and set: Primary 8.8.8.8 and Secondary 8.8.4.4
Then try to install again form Games and apps
