Hi Guys,
I have a halo 5 disc , and the installation is getting stopped at either 2% or 5% .
I had already completed Halo 5 in January 2016 and it was working absolutely fine . Since an additional 90GB of update was required uninstalled the game. Now that i am trying to reinstall it ,it is getting stopped at either 2% or 5% .
I have tried all the steps given in the Microsoft support :http://support.xbox.com/en-IN/games/troubleshooting/game-installation-process-stops# but still it is not working .
Apparently, I was advised to buy a new Halo 5 game by microsoft support which I think is a useless advice , why would one buy the same game again and again. I would appreciate if you guys can help me out here

saurabhbagh, try checking out this thread. Some other Spartans had this problem and figured out how to fix it. I believe one of the posts near the end the OP told us what fixed it for him/her.

CoverMyMeds , I have tried that too after looking at the post but then again getting stuck at 5 % to be precise 2.27 GB or at 2% (734.96 MB).

ReverentMass541 , I am facing the same issue you had faced in your thread and that too in October only. I hope you can help me out if possible.
When i tried your steps , my installation got stuck at 2% (842 MB ) then I tried installing again got stuck at 5%(2.27 GB) after that every time it gave installation stopped.
If I tried installing without your steps the installation gets stuck at 2%(731MB) or at 5%( 2.31 GB which used to happen)

343 needs to make halo 5 smaller.
ReverentMass541 : Steps given on xbox support and the steps given by you :
- install game online, when installation stops go offline
- cancel installation
- clear local saved games ( this does not delete games, just saved data, you will get data back when you sync with xbox live ) when console restarts do a hard system reboot.
- try installing again, if it stops let sit for 5-15 minutes and click try installing again and it should install like it did for me.
- go online and download update
Is there any way to install the game online, directly? rather than buying the same game and then download.

I’m having the exact problem and none of these fixes work. I’m pretty much screwed at this point having bought 2 copies and neither work since that update.
