Halo 5 Infection is BROKEN

  1. Zombies range with sword when they zoom in is WAY too long.

  2. Zombies sword does damage BEFORE it even goes through the slicing animation

  3. MOST maps have no specific hold outs and the ones that do, have too many points of entry. Overall just badly designed for infection.

1 and 2 really need to be looked into. The game is so fast paced now that zombies should definitely not be allowed to have the range that they do it’s ridiculous.

This infection is a lot easier than the old one.
I’ve played 1000 games and almost have 200 killionaires in the playlist. It’s super easy.

Holy crap you have a lot of killionaires!

Oh…it’s Eagle Precursor…nevermind

I literally couldn’t disagree with you more.

I find this the most difficult infection ever for all the reasons listed above ^

That coupled with the ridiculous lag makes for a very frustrating playing experience.

While I don’t think there is much, if anything, wrong with the Infection gameplay, I do think the actual Infection maps could be improved to give the humans a slight advantage in terms of places to camp.

I think that the sword lunge is ridiculous in general, it’s very broken and goes around corners sometimes. However the maps are intentionally designed to not be so easy to hold out. People rave about halo reach infection but what I remember about it are these stalemate games where everyone camps together in this easily defended, single entry area. Made playing as an infected boring as all hell. 343 wished to make the survivors more mobile and they were successful in that.

I’ll be honest it blows my mind that few people have issues with it…

But yes, the maps need more hold out locations. Not open areas to hangout and or a seemingly closed off area with 3 separate entrances.

To be honest, I haven’t played a ton of Infection recently, so your issues may be more prevalent the more the game type is played.

The going around corners is what prompted my frustration and motivated me to make this thread lol. It’s so broken and frustrating that it becomes funny after a time.

Reach infection was absolutely perfect. It forced you as a zombie to be a little bit more creative. All they have to do is decrease respawn time for zombies, give them sprint and get rid of boost for them. I still play reach and NOBODY EVER chooses the maps with classic infection where the zombies had evade. Alpha zombies where they had sprint is always chosen because it’s the most fun and the most balanced.

I think it’s fine but some more maps would be nice.

Never played a lot of infection but H5 infection I felt was a bit better than previous games. I like that tbey have tried to discourage camping. That was the main reason I don’t play infection.

I haven’t even played 200 games of infection and have 10 killionaires. Teach me senpai!!!

H5 infection is generally pretty easy as Humans. It depends on maps but some can become a nightmare for the zombies. Overall though i think its one of the better infections.

It’s funny cause whenever i’m the zombie my sword lunge just wont activate, even at a reasonable range. It’s the inconsistency that makes it the worst.

I do not agree with 1 or 2 reasons why

  1. No not really because I’ve been in games where no one has got infected in 2 rounds the infected need more heath or decrease the amount of damage they take
  2. no it doesn’t dude I’ve hit a guy 2 seconds after the hit animation is done he kills me but he’s not infected.

Every infection map has somewhere to camp, and it’s the easiest infection mode for survivors, if anything the infected should get another 5% speed boost.

Actually I would say the infected need a bit of a buff (Sprint and an extra thrust would work) and the maps need redesigned to remove the bloody camping spots.

It’s fun and balanced

How is not having any cheap camping spots a bad thing? I’m glad there are no -Yoink- holdout spots

No way. It’s easy for humans to go on sprees with other weapons on the map.
Saying that, I think the mode is balanced.
The removal of magnum starts was a good idea.
