Now humor me for a sec. In Halo Silentium the Ur-Didact was left in a Flood infested system. No one is really sure if he died or not and seeing how powerful The Bornstellar Didact, Halo 4 Didact, is I’d say if anyone could survive that he could. At the end of Halo 4 the Bornstellar Didact wasn’t killed from the Pulse grenade, it was more implied that he died in the Vortex below the Composer. However that Vortex was a Slipspace rupture, so he could really be anywhere.

Now how cool would it be if the Ur-Didact fled to a shield world and survived the Halo Array. Now 100,000 years later he is found and awakened by the Bornstellar Didact and they both then begin awakening other Forerunner-Prometheans and go on a Campaign to destroy all of humanity to take back the Mantle.

The Ur-Didact is not dead. Greg Bear confirmed that Halo 4’s Didact, not to my surpsise, was in fact the Ur-Didact. Leaving the Bornstellar-Didact the one that activated the Halos. Whether he died along with the rest of the Forerunners is unknown.

OK so take out the Bornstellar-Didact out of the equation and leave the rest. Ur-Didact reviving other Forerunner-Prometheans.
