After thoroughly enjoying the halo infinite flight I’m really struggling to enjoy playing halo 5, not being able to play infinite is having a horrible itch that you can’t scratch
how many of you guys and gals know what I’m talking about

I feel you haha, I have 9 more achievements to go to complete MCC, and they feel as grueling as ever now that I have tasted Infinite, and it feels so close. Hopefully the next flight is soon, and we get invited.
Hopefully there’ll be another flight soon.

Definitely, really want to go back and replay all the halos on Legendary but I don’t think my willpower is stronger than the halo 2 Jackals
best of luck getting into the next flight spartan.

Going back and playing Halo 5 really makes it obvious how it doesn’t feel like a Halo game. It’s unplayable for me now.
cant wait for next flight

I still think it feels like Halo when you have full matches of experienced players. Not pro’s or anything, just players with enough experience to understand when to rotate and push power weapon/ map positions.
H5’s biggest issue for how it “feels” (imo) is just that every movement is too fast. Base walking speed, sprinting, thruster, slide boosts, e.t.c all need to be reduced in speed by like 40%. Doing something like that basically gives us Infinite’s movement which feels great (I know there are other differences).
That super fast speed overall makes it crazy hard to go back into H5 after any break though
I reassure you, I have the same feeling as you.
I feel the exact same haha
Definitely, I just do something that I enjoy “second best to infinite” I was crying inside when the flight ended lol
I’ve been watching ganeplay of 5 recently, and while it looks good, to me at least, it looks leagues below Halo Infinite’s gameplay.
I haven’t been able to load up mcc since the infinite flight. Don’t get me wrong, I still love the mcc, but Infinite has made me miss the original menus and progression systems of the standalone titles. Infinite also just feels really fresh and fun to play with all the new weapons and equipment.

The base movement speed of Infinite is actually exactly equal to the base of Halo 5. The big difference lies in the sprint (+40% vs +15%) and the thruster combo’s.
I still love H5’s gunplay but I spend most of my time playing customs with friends and not in the playlists. Still hurts to go from H5’s magnum to the sidekick (and no I don’t mean I’ll miss having a dominating precision weapon but the sidekick just feels more like a cowboy colt where you fire your clip rapidly into the enemy instead of pacing and aiming your shots)
I preferred Halo 5’s gameplay, but maybe that will change with Infinites full release
its hard to play halo 5 since the flight for me due to the small field of view, no 120fps mode and the dumb groundpound / shoulder bash / jetpack while aiming down sights stuff. Infinite just felt perfect

thats cause its not meant to get kills on its own, there are medals for both switching to and killing someone with the sidekick and starting the fight with a gun then dropping it and finishing it with the sidekick. its meant for if you break the shields of someone and your primary needs to reload then you switch and finish with a spray of sidekick.
I love Halo 5 competitive, but admittedly I have been playing a bit of Splitgate recently. My rank is top 1% in the world right now so it feels pretty good to be at the top!
For some reason i don’t have this feeling at all lol, all i really wanna do is grind Halo as it is.
