Recently I saw several people posting that they unlocked helioskrill armor via req pack, is it a variant or the original helioskrill unlocked by doing the archievement?
If it’s a variant or not, I thought Halo 5 would have an “exclusive” armor as they said when TMCC launched, but now everyone can have it by a simple req pack? Thanks 343…
I have a couple Helioskrill variants and I’m pretty sure that one of them is the original Helioskrill.
From REQ’s, no MCC achievements.

It’s pretty dumb in my opinion the armor should be an exclusive reward for the dedication that it takes to earn it rather than 343 having it as something you can buy (even though it is rare)
Good to know that all those months of suffering the wrath of heartless AIs didn’t pay off. 343 just -Yoinked!- themselves over. Now No one is gonna touch the MCC.

Well, I still want to do all the MCC campaigns on Legendary. It does kinda suck that armor isn’t exclusive to that anymore.

I feel bad for the players who worked hard for it.
-Yoink- move, 343. Make armors that aren’t obtainable via REQs (like Achilles).
Can’t say i really felt that armor had to be exclusive. I mean honestly yea you got it for doing dat der dem Legendary campaign on Halo 2 and all but doing the H2 campaign on legendary isn’t exactly a wild’n’crazy goal. I don’t know how many times i have done it since the early days really… Sure you get one shotted by snipers alot and all but brains outplay brawns any day.
It’s just an armor man… In the huge pile of armors. Very few will even notice you have the original, let alone think you’re awesome for having it. I’ve used it in like one game… Meh it aint my kinda armor. Mark VI however… Old school <3

It’s not just Halo 2’s campaign, it’s 1-4 on Legendary. It’s just the principle of it, no one likes putting a decent amount of effort into something to obtain a reward only to watch others have it just handed to them.

Oh it was all of them? Been so long i had forgotten.
Anyways back on point!
Surely enough it’s understandable to… Some sort of degree as to why it’s a bit dissapointing but overall? The guys who get it in their REQ packs still have to spend a few good nights with RNGeesus before they get it. It’s not like they just ‘get it handed to them’. They still have to put in hours and hours of game time, to the possibility of getting the armor.
Still it’s just me… I’ve grown too far from feeling online digits and pixels playing any significant role really, noot that i am mocking anyone who wants that feeling of being more special because of certain visuals. I merely just can’t relate!
Same goes for my armor really… If i had worked like there was no tommorow to get it and later on saw peeps get it by playing and spending their points… Well honestly what ever? I still know that i myself, did in fact get the armor through hard work rather than grinding for it.
Guess this is one of those places the community has come to…
And man do i miss the good ol’e fashioned Halo 3 days… Recon was the only armor to be optained by hard work. Recognized by Bungie or doing the Vidmasters… No other way. None of all this modern stuff about armors suddenly being important, in regards to the action taken to unlock it.
