Most of the hate is towards the story itself. Everything else from the gameplay, multiplayer, level design, and co-op are all being universally praised.

You know why you don’t see many people on here praising the game? It’s because they’re too busy playing it.

People are already hating what I serious doubt they have even played. since the game just got released what about 9 hrs ago and from what I read can take 12 to 16 hrs to play thru. Lots of whining. I don’t care. EVERYTHING I have seen tells me the game is good in almost every aspect. They can go play MCC or Destiny for all I care.
I also don’t take generic website reviews seriously either. As one example Gamespot is notorious for getting someone to review a game in a genre that the reviewer doesn’t even care for. Van Ord would review shooters when everybody on the site knew his interest was medieval fantasy RPG type games. So obviously he would always point out stuff that most people would not give a -Yoink- about just looking for reasons to criticize like an uppity food critic.

I have been playing games since PONG. you read that right PONG. If I do a fair amount of research and watch people on Twitch play I feel confident that its a good game FOR ME.

Fair enough. I guess my real point was and still is, from the comments I have read, they strongly imply that they have played thru the game(excluding reviewers) when in all likelihood they haven’t. Thats all. This site along with many other sites for other games, people a lot of the time instead of being open minded about something new, they would rather quickly point out the flaws and go all teenage girl screaming ITS CHANGED OMG , ITS Changed THE WORLD WILL NEVER BE THE SAME! THE HORRO OF IT ALL. Instead of saying hey this is a new game so lets treat it like one. Its common that people are resistant to change. however I embrace it. They did the same when the 4th Star Wars movie came out and they will do it again when the new Star Wars movie comes out.

I would humbly ask that you keep an open mind if you have not played it thru. Gaming Trends has a very detailed review that I would recommend you reading.
If there is anything that I have concern about is from what I have seen in multiplayer , 2 shots from the BR will down a players shields and a headshot and you are dead, not sure on the 3rd body shot. Which if it takes 2 body shots vs 1 headshot when shields are down that could turn people off, not me I will adapt. but some will not want to play as not everybody is a headshot expert.

I played the campaign last Wednesday. The game was as disappointing as I’ve been stating in all the threads I’ve posted in regarding the campaign, and I strongly agree with the article IGN put out regarding the misleading marketing.

Yes…
