Hey guys, I just wanted to make this topic in hopes that people will stop with the hate that isn’t even justified. Hopefully I outline some topics that show where I’m coming from.
DLC/ UPDATES
Guys for the 100th time, stop complaining about the monthly updates that give us free stuff. We all fought for years for free stuff and now 343 decides to hand us free continent and everyone hates it?? Why is that? now I understand where some of you come from but believe me when I say that the free updates you receive every month aren’t that bad. Yes some content just gets added to the loot pool and some would say, “oh its pay to win” and no I cant stress how this just isn’t true at all. for these varying reasons
1. You don’t have to purchase REQs with real currency
You are not required at all to purchase REQs. period. theres no way around that.
2. Some people don’t even use power weapons/ vehicles or boosts in Warzone.
I am one of those. Yes I have everything in the game but I rarely use anything outside of Snipers. RARELY ill use Nornfang when I’m feeling very accurate 
3. If you play arena/warzone you earn REQ points to spend.
Guys… you get REQ points when you play… save up and buy the Gold packs to increase chances. before I purchased 100$s worth of REQs (for my YouTube viewers) I probably made between 13,000 and 28,000 REQ points a day. Its not hard. You also get boosts. Use em.
DLC V Free Content
We all Hate season passes right? But, we all paid for them did we not? WE bought past Halo DLC why should this be any different? The problem is… Well… We won… We refused to Pay for DLC and this is what we got… If you don’t like the monthly updates… You shouldn’t have complained about DLC costs… I’m sorry but its true… This is what you get for non paid DLC… If you don’t purchase REQs you aren’t helping development costs… You just aren’t… If you only spent 60$ on the game but get free content why are you mad? I feel even if this free update had 4 maps and REQs yall would still be angry.
To conclude my point I and my entire team fully support 343i in the quest to provide free content funded by those who can/want to buy REQs with real money. I’m honored to say ive spent over 500$ and people can benefit of my hard earned money. When you Play your maps or get new REQs remember I bought that for you…

A really well thought out and detailed post. Good job, sir. Even so, you must understand that being insanely negative is sort of the hallmark of the Halo community. There has never, and there will never be, a Halo game with a community that doesn’t moan about this and that. For the love of Frankie, there was an entire website about how Halo 2 was the worst thing since smallpox (halo2sucks.com). With that said, this community can sometimes be one of the most clever, fun and engaging ones out there. Talk about split personallity disorder.

believe me I understand, I’m trying to drive that point. But also shed some light on its “Flaws” and how they really aren’t flaws. 343i listens, they really do.

That’s just your opinion, friend. Other people don’t like the game as much as you. Not everyone shares you opinion and this is the exact place that they should come and voice those different opinions.
Don’t try to stomp out feedback that leads to progress.

Yes me liking the game is an opinion very much so. But the facts ive laid out just aren’t opinions… They are rooted truths.
It depends whether or not the free dlc is actually new stuff or just useless fluff. And most of the stuff this dlc gave us should’ve been in the game at launch besides, wouldn’t you like to have a halo game that had nearly all the things the past halos had? So when we get the free updates the stuff we get in them is brand new, never before seen stuff?
So let’s say Skirmish on Darkstar has a major exploit, as Urban did, that may require it to be taken out of the map pool to be fixed. Should people not say anything because it’s free and that might be “hating” it or “complaining”? What if Infection, or any game mode to be released later, has a problem that makes the experience unenjoyable? Could be a bug, could be unbalanced against one side, etc. Should people not say anything then? Like I’ve said before, when I see someone saying to not say anything negative about the game or to “stop hating”, I see someone who does not really care about the well-being of the game at heart.

Instead, now we’re getting half the game 6 months later for free. And that still doesn’t make it ok that they are drip feeding content.

while i agree about the complaining, i think its the way people are choosing to complain that gets annoying. there is positive criticism, then there is way point criticism. we need to find a way as a community to bring majority together to try and agree on things, and being condescending usually does not promote that at all.
but in the topic of this post

this reminds me of the people that get pulled over by cops and yell at them " i pay your salary pigs"… while yes your funds have contributed that $500 prob only got us a couple emblems…

You point is valid and definitely is a triple hit, however, they listen to us. They really do we can say or suggest what we “Think” should have been in game at launch but at the end of the day you or I don’t work there so we don’t know… period… that’s a fact. Besides everyone knows if you release a game with ALL content at launch everyone will blow through it and will be bored if something isn’t offered in 3 months.

Halo 3 and Halo: Reach show that is blatantly not true. Seriously, can you name an example where a game came with tons of content that people just abandoned? Where does this logic come from?

No, but you saying that the “hate” needs to stop is wrong. You think that laying out these points mean that other shouldn’t have or even voice a negative opinion of the game, and that’s just wrong.

They’ve actually never called anything they do DLC, Its always Updates.
- The game launched bare-bones. These Updates are finishing the game. If the game launched packed with content, then many people would be a lot less dissatisfied with them.
2( 343 Promised these updates before the game launched.
These two reasons are more than enough to be critical of each update.
