I just gave a listen to a track called ‘The Trials’ and oh my god. THE FEELS. I’ve never had a song in this franchise assault my emotions like this. I personally believe this tops anything that’s been done in the past. It’s my opinion though. I’m absolutely loving the work Jinnouchi is doing for this game. It’s every bit as quality as Marty’s work

I totally agree. H4 was okay, but this is off the hook
Halo 4 was great, but it didn’t sound like Halo to me personally. Now this sounds like Halo and it’s -Yoinking!- beautiful.
I am so happy they brought back the original theme song back

Halo 4 was very sparse and not many memorable moments were to be had regarding music. There were a few good spots here n there, but compared to the past Halos the soundtrack took a back seat by a mile.
Where did this come from ? Its phenomenal, seriously Kazuma Jinnouchi is my hero.

They even credit him and Salvatori within the Artists of this Song.
Its not Jinnouchi own work.

But he reinterpreted the main theme, gave it a new feel and much more power (obviously because Blue Team is with the Chief this time), moreover you can hear a few pieces of 117 in the song and some other new parts! I think Halo has now the best composer that’s possibly out there (besides Marty).
I don’t know whether or not it’s the best - but it’s fantastic and isn’t that what really matters?
I don’t even know if Marty could surpass his original Halo composition (I don’t think it’s possible) - so yeah, Kazuma does a great job, both with remixing and creating new melodies.
Has anyone listened to the Osiris Suite act 1 yet ? One of the most epic things I have heard. The soundtrack is an instant buy lol.

So is Trials the main theme or a variant of it meant for gameplay like countless tracks before? It’s one of the best tracks in Halo either way.

Literally almost perfect. Only thing it’s missing is the chanting monks… Hope they’re around somewhere in the soundtrack.
Halo 5’s Soundtrack sounds amazing, but wouldn’t say it was better than Halo 2 or 3 or whatever.
