Halo 5 has the best immersion of any Halo game

I was also scared when first seeing the reveal but the more footage ive seen the more excited ive become, the models in game chatter and the the announcer letting you know about power weapons really sucks you in and it seams like the team as a whole is on the same page now. I was against the ground pound also but its really not as bad as I had assumed. watching the game mechanics and gun physics its totally a Halo feel just brought into the next gen era and the fact that we get a super early beta to give feedback means this Halo can shape to be the best it can be and not having to deal with post launch updates to get the game where it should be.

We have hands now!!!

I know right, immersion totally isn’t something you experience by PLAYING THE GAME

Im not a fan of spartan chatter, just seems out of place. If it stays I want to be able to select a voice like in reach but not just main character voices, some random ones in there would be nice.

Also the announcer sounds like he is surviving off red bull and mountain dew with no sleep. Please fix this.

I disagree. The Spartan chatter sounds, not like Spartans, not like Marines who just became Spartans, not like soldiers who just became Marines, but teenagers just out of high school who are just joining the army and haven’t yet seen a drill sergeant. High fives, one-liners that would’ve sounded bad in the 80’s, and group hugs a professional warrior does not make. If anything it makes me painfully aware that under each mask is a face that probably looks exactly like every other face. Maybe there will be changeable voices to alleviate some of those issues.

So it sounds like noobs in training camp you say?? Funny, because that’s exactly what it is intended to be.

Halo 5 will be a gift from God

I think the voices need improvement

Looks like it, let’s just pray the gameplay is solid as well.

Why would the UNSC be turning noobs into Spartans? I thought Spartan IVs were supposed to be veteran soldiers chosen to be put into the armor. If they’re choosing any Johnny-come-lately to be a Spartan, then it speaks volumes about the impracticality and downright naivety of the UNSC.

Perhaps they’re getting more desperate? Either way, full year until release, could be just placeholder audio. That’s my theory and I’m sticking to it like a plasma 'nade on a Blue’s loinplate.

Soon it’ll be this for real. - YouTube

The thought that these are supposed to be Spartans in the training simulations does bring up a good point that they are there to learn. But still Spartan 4’s were supposed to be just the elite of ODST’s and ONI Agents, possibly marines. However with the Promethean threat now its possible that there’s a Spartan recruiting program.

It may sound cute now but after hours playing and hearing “UAV launched” and “UAV detected” 70 billion times… it’s not going to be as cute.
