Is it just me or does this Halo seem a bit ‘watered-down’? I mean the gameplay is great but there are a lot of things that just make it not feel like a genuine Halo experience. There are a bunch of things I can talk all day about, but I’ll name a few things that could be added and/or tweaked.

There are no splash effects. When players move through water, instead of making a splash with every step, only a small ripple effect is created as if raindrops are hitting the surface.
-
Vehicles feel like they have no mass whatsoever. Especially the Warthog and Mongoose. The slightest bump or incline and I am sent flying out of control. Surely these vehicles weigh more than my kid sister’s bicycle.

There aren’t a variety of maps. Why weren’t there more when this game launched? I get bored really quickly playing the same map over and over. And though 343 has eliminated map voted, maps are not rotating. I have played the same maps numerous times. It’s like though one server may actually be rotating the maps, when I leave a game a join a new game or server, the same map appears. I’ve had this happen numerous times.

There’s no button to join up after a match. I actually liked this feature, though some may disagree. But I am not going to sit here to search online to find a good Spartan Company with just enough players to allow me to join. And if you have a few number of friends that play this game, getting your own Halo Company established with a good team can be kinda monotonous and ultimately, trivial.

Cinematics. Take the map escape from the Arc. There’s a huge spaceship that’s ready for launch but yet there is no cinematic where the winning team boards the ship and essentially ‘escapes’ from the Arc with explosions as the whole reason why you escape was to perhaps to obtain some vital information while a bomb is about to go off. I am left feeling like I am just leaving the Arc after a great game of laser tag or paintball with some friends, versus feeling like I narrowly escaped death.

I am not totally sure about this one, but when capturing a point in Warzone, why is it that the number of players capturing the point does not change the rate at which it is being captured? Without many players knowing or realizing, one guy can stay back while others are pushing on ahead. I rather the game be fair and visually acknowledged versus capturing points initially becomes about what team knows this.

Why is it that when I sprint and then jump in the air that I cannot immediately aim afterwards? Sprinting in itself just does not feel like a fluid motion and the delay between sprinting and jumping is just quite terrible.
These are just some of the things that are an annoyance. And though some may disagree I hope that most feel the same about these things that I have mentioned. I love Halo and I’ve played every single game since the release of Halo CE. But honestly 343, what have you done to Halo? As someone mentioned before, if you can’t provide a decent Halo experience, then come December, a lot of your fan base is going to leave to explore other games, never to return to the Halo universe. Please share your thoughts and please, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I hope we all can communicate like sophisticated gamers so that maybe 343 will listen to our pleas that we all can agree on.
