They showed this a few weeks ago, it’s great, the FPS doesn’t change unless it’s a cinematic, and the resolution is what changes during the game.
I really love the system they have in place for the game quality, mostly because frame rate drops in games can be the most annoying thing on the planet. Would rather dip down to 720p at 60 fps than 15 fps at 1080p. Yeah that’s exaggerated a bit, but fps drop is a lot more noticeable than a resolution drop.

Yeah it’s great. Makes me wonder why not more developers utilize this, the only other game I know that has a dynamic resolution system is The Witcher 3.
I can accept this method of keeping the game at 60FPS It worked really well with the Witcher III The Wild Hunt. I was going to be a bit down if they had to reduce the resolution but thankfully that`s not the case
1152*810 seems like such a strange compromise resolution since it’s not even a 16:9 resolution, but we’ll see whether or not it’ll be jarring when the game comes out.
LOL at the AI in that video though. Vale sat there and watched the covenant rain down hell upon the downed player before beginning to rotate on the spot, getting stuck halfway through, and finally beginning to revive the player just in time to go down herself. At which point Buck jumps in to join the fun and revives the player just in time to fail to revive Vale and go down himself. I certainly hope the AI has been altered since that build.

Well, according to Greenskull 343 said that they were still fine tuning the AI. So, I’m sure they’ll be alright in the full game.

And the footage we’re seeing now is all probably over a month old. So… we’ll see by launch day. Personally, the AI didn’t seem any different from normal Halo Friendly AI. At least to me it didn’t.
im impressed, i knew that the E3 build was old, but i was thinking there would be drops that would be noticeable. i guess i was wrong, well done 343, the low texture filtering was barely noticeable, i had to pause and look to notice, and you wont have time to do that unless nothing major is happening which is when the texture filter will be running high. Well thought out.
