Like most of you, I am looking forward to the Hammer Storm update! Assault and One Bomb are some of my fave gametypes in Halo!!
I am also a big warzone player. My Spartan Company (Warzone Elite) and I play multiple hours every single day. Many of us are only opening gold packs now! Some are totally done with all Reqs even. Personally - I have all of the Rare and lower Reqs (minus commendation rewards) and am only working on the Gold Packs now. It is pretty fun. So naturally, I want to know how far the new update and materials are going to set me back. Well here is the answer based on the information posted by 343.The link to that post is at the bottom of this one.
In the Hammer Storm Update we will be receiving a total of 44 new Reqs according to the information posted. Here is the breakdown of the card levels (I am including Mythic inside Legendary - I am not breaking them apart for this breakdown, Feel free to post that in the comments if you are feeling froggy):
So to unlock all the new items, here are the req points you will need. I am not taking BRONZE packs into consideration due to the fact that BRONZE packs do not guarantee a permanent unlock.
Silver Packs: 12 - 60k RP - $24.00
Gold Packs - 10 - 100k RP - $30.00
The calculations are very simple. I just know that many of us don’t feel like counting it all up. So here is the information in one simple little package. If you want me to break it down into types of REQs per rarity level, comment below. If I get enough support, then I will throw that in over the course of the weekend. What i mean by this is break down how many assassinations, armor, weapons/skins, etc.

With them releasing the info for the new storm rifle yesterday and a few other details, I would say the 25th is the date. that is Thursday. I don’t see them dropping it on a friday.

dude I havent heard of Magnum variants. Honestly I do not think that we need anymore! The Magnum is good enough as it is. Glad I could help you bud.

Yes we will have magnum variants in this update for sure. I suspect it will be only extended magazine improvement though.

can you imagine a Magnum with Zero Recoil?? or with an Energy Bayonet haha… i mean why use ANY other weapon at that point after you have all the weapon commendations.

yea the live stream starts in like 30m. I assume the update will drop on thursday. based on what Polygon uploaded I do not like the way it is layed out… i like round based for sure!
