Loving the new BR colour scheme and as long as the scope is cosmetic I’m fine with it, jury’s out on the AR at the moment, SMG extendible stock togglable ? Disappointed if the new weapon is a redesign for the Rocket Launcher, sniper looks the same as in Halo 4, same with the DMR.
I doubt that the bazooka-esque gun we’ve seen is a replacement for the SPNKr. It looks more like a smaller, weaker more accurate antipersonnel weapon to me.
Does it look like the SMG is now fed from a pistol magazine? I can’t find the magazine on the side and it looks like at the bottom of the pistol grip there is a magazine stuck inside. Also, it seems as though there is a pistol style magazine release.

Just watched the SMG rotation in slow mo, It looks like the Magazine might be on top, kind if like a P90 mag.
I would actually be a little disappointed if it was a pistol style magazine, not sure why.

I can also see what you mean. It also looks like there is a release at the top and rear of the weapon. I’ll be interested to see how it turns out!
nice work man. i really hope they remove all the useless weapons they have added over the year, especially in halo 4. more guns doesnt mean better game, having the same gun with just a different skin is pointless.
the rocket looks like an anti air or ground vehicle, i dont think its a compact SMG maybe and Auto-Pistol, and that might not be a BR (Battle Rifle) it could be a MA5K
After Halo 4’s AR I told myself that 343 should leave the design as is and shouldn’t touch it for a good long while. Boy was I wrong, this new AR design is a work of divine beauty. How do you make Mega like something even more after he believes it’s perfect? add some green to it, that’s how! Let’s just hope it doesn’t get screwed up game play wise. You hear me 343? Just because we’re going back to identical starts doesn’t mean another Halo 3 style assault rifle is ok! Don’t break my heart on this!
The color switches between the BR and DMR gives them a sense of freshness and I’m not complaining about the new scopes, assuming of course that the fears regarding the BR’s scope don’t become a reality.
The SMG is adorable in the best way possible. It’s the subiest sub machine gun I’ve ever seen. And given how small they’re making it, the SMG could turn out to be a full fledged CQC secondary and replacement to the Bolt shot and with the return of both the SMG and DMR my dream of them becoming a utility combo is becoming a reality!
This contraption that I’m going to call a bazooka interests me. I have no idea what it is but it’s look fits in with Halo 5’s aesthetics so the design of this mystery weapon gets an A-OK.
Sniper rifle? What can I say? They gave it a darker paint job and a new scope. What else could I ask for?
I’m not gonna comment on the armor given how early they all look but the appearance of Fred’s armor is awesome to see.
The sword? Eh, I’m gonna reserve judgement until later down the road.
But where the hell’s the Shotgun?
Anyways, so far I give 343 a 8.5/10 regarding what we’ve seen in the equipment.
I’m digging these WIP designs for the weapons, especially the likes of the BR & the SMG. Black suits the BR pretty well, & the SMG looks small enough to be a conealable weapon or a sidearm. Not sure what that new launcher is though, could it be the Halo equivalent of the Stinger or Javelin? Time will tell. Now, I wonder what the Covenant weapons will be like, hopefully they’ve been given a good visual upgrade, too.
